Top 3 Offensive Targets In Round 2

Jeremy Igo

I'm laughing now because I know he probably will be the pick

Yep. I really won't be very upset. Just get some guys that can come in and help the team. Offense still needs help tho. However, there really is value later at WR & RB.

Yeah I have them taking WR in the third being Hardy or Greene

I like both of those too. Hardy has the best hands while Greene use to play with KB. If I'm not mistaken, he had a big year even with KB there. 1,000 yards I think. Would be thrilled to get one of the two. They just have to be available.

Id rather have Funions in the second than USC Mike Williams jr...aka D Funchess.

Described on NFL.com as A WR with high drop rate..does not win on majority of 50/50 balls and does not high point catches well.

At least he is tall!

At best his value is A redzone gadget TE shall go later in draft..of course IMO.

I loved him two seasons ago watching Mich as a great playmaker at TE. He is just too stiff for a WR and lacks the leg agility to cut on rtes.

I know Gettles was with the Giants who love tall guys but this is not the droid he is looking for.

Now that Gettleman has taken his BPA in round one of the NFL Draft, I look for him to address the needs of the offense in round 2. I don't see him choosing a defensive player, although that is possible.

Should the Panthers go offense, here are the top targets in round two that may be available when the Panthers select. Unfortunately, I don't see Devin Smith dropping to the Panthers or else he would be the top choice.

Devin Funchess - WR - Michigan

Roughly the same size as Kelvin Benjamin, Funchess would help create immediate mismatches to opposing defenses. Not many teams are built to play against such size at the receiver position.

Jaelen Strong - WR - Arizona State

Solid number 2 possession receiver in the mold of Mushin Muhammad. Definite round 2 talent who the Panthers has listed as a first rounder at one point in time. Good value in the late second round.

Jake Fisher - OT - Oregon

Many proclaimed Fisher to be a first round tackle, but that was silly talk. He is, however, a solid second round prospect. He would immediately compete at that left tackle position. Having played in a pro system with a mobile QB puts him on a fast track to getting playing time.

No Chris Conley or Sammie Coates?
