So Andrew Luck has another weapon...

...and their soft defense will still crumble in the postseason.

Offensive picks are sexy, but they really need a player like Shaq.

Just how I look at it. Anyone who remembers Beuerlein putting up all those numbers when our D played "bend and then break" defense understands this.

Still plenty of receivers left.

When Carolina picks another LB the story is: "Carolina biggest idiots ever, add another LB."

When Indy picks another WR the story is: "Indy insanely smart to quintuple down at the WR position"

Shaq is a better prospect than Dorsett is, so if you like Indy making a strength stronger- you have to love adding Shaq to our defense

While I agree with the first 2 lines of your post, it's an annual thing and hasn't bothered me in years.

But I completely disagree with the notion Shaq is a better prospect than Dorsett. Dorsett will start this season while Shaq will play ST, get some time in the nickel and basically be, at some point, a Thomas Davis reincarnate. In a year or 2 hopefully Shaq will build some size and strength to take over at OLB when TD retires.

fair enough. I think he is, but it's certainly debatable

Most Colts fans hate this pick anyway. They think their FO is too intent on getting Luck weapons and completely ignoring the need for glaring holes on defense.

Too much common sense in this post. I'm getting sick of people complaining about the pick like it wasn't a great addition. Luck can have all the weapons in the world but if they can't stop anyone it's pointless.
