Hoover should be in over Sellers.

Wharton should be in over Davis.

I was hoping DeAngelo Williams got in but you can make a case for about 7 running backs in the NFC. I'm okay with him not making it especially since this may just give him reason to be very productive in Sunday's game to prove a point.

I love what DeAngelo has done this year, but he missed out most likely because of the slow start. He didn't really start producing large numbers until mid-season, which is long after the Pro-Bowl voting begins.

They announce the alternates tomorrow, and I expect him to be on that list. I also would be shocked if Kasay, Wharton, and Brad Hoover aren't on the alternate lists as well.

No, if this was just the fan votes then the Redskins would have had 16 probowlers. No joking. Really, 16 probowlers from a 7-7 team. I'm not joking.

I'm guessing Williams is the first alternate, Westbrook the second alternate..and Jacobs the 3rd Alternate.

DeAngelo Williams, who leads the league in touchdowns with 16, is the first alternate at NFC running back.

The teams probably already know the alternates just like they probably knew the pro bowl list yesturday.

Well, I agree with both. The way that they do the fan voting for the Pro-Bowl IS stupid, but fortunately, they have some safeguards in place to overcome things in most cases.

I think that a lot of people don't realize the breakdown and think that it's like the NBA where the top vote getters automatically get in. The NFL isn't like that.

O.K. I think that if only people who watched EVERY SINGLE GAME, and knew EVERY SINGLE STAT...and had no FANBASED BIAS voted then it would be absolutely fair.

But I doubt that'll ever happen.

I mean no one will know about D. WIlliams unless he's on ESPN so I can't really blame people when they vote for a team with the best record or their home team. I know last year After I voted for the NFC. I voted for majority Patriots(who I actually still don't like)...only because they were 16-0 and I felt that's hard to do.

Same with Beason if they showed him and his impact on ESPN last year he'd of easily been on the Pro Bowl roster.

Williams still has a good shot at going to the Pro Bowl. RBs tend to opt out due to lingering injuries, especially ones who get in the upwards of 350 carries. Then again you could say a young guy like Peterson and a guy like Turner who is going to his first Pro Bowl probably won't turn down the oppurtunity. That leaves Portis as the likely candidate to give up his spot.
