Panthers pre-draft depth chart...a reference

Most of us know all this, but it helps to see it all together to give a big picture view to the direction Gettleman might go. Depth chart positions are based on last season's depth chart and where I see free agents fitting as of today. Will obviously change after the draft and training camp.

My summary: We depend on a lot of players that went undrafted. Not necessarily a bad thing, except when most of the depth in a position group is undrafted players. Combined with 3 of the top 5 players being free agents, the secondary could get more help than expected in the draft.

All 3 QBs and both FBs are free agents next year. Drafting a rookie for those positions shouldn't seem crazy.

Not many starters have significant recent injury history. However, RB does look talent-thin after injury-prone Stewart. Probable target for early to mid-rounds.

6 of the top 10 cap hits on the team are on the offense, 3 on defense and 1 on special teams. I look for more picks spent on the offense than the defense to start replacing the higher priced vets.
