My final prediction and takeaway from Gman's presser.. Shaq T will be the guy.

I watched every second of Gettleman's pre draft presser yesterday and in my mind, what I took away from it was..

A. He likes the WR group but not quite as much as last year and is willing to wait until day 2 to draft one.

B. I get the sense he really likes our O line as is and just his overall tone and how he talked about the O line group in this draft, he doesn't care for this crop of O lineman, hell he even said only a few he would even consider as true LTs and the rest are RTs (which we don't have urgent need for) what struck me is how defiantly Gettleman made a comment that "I know I got railed for not drafting a tackle last year but I stand my by choices, I'm not going to reach."

C. He views the majority of DEs as 3-4 guys, didn't seem too gung ho on this draft groups of DEs either.

D. Without using the word he basically said it was bullshiz the notion that "The RB position is no longer important." He seemed to really like this crop of RB prospects, if Gurley is there he will be the pick (I'm saying Shaq because Gurley is long gone.)

So using the process of elimination.. He doesn't like the OTs, he likes but not loves the WR group, he doesn't seem as excited about drafting a pass rusher like he has in year's past, yes Gurley will be the pick if he is there but that's not happening. We don't need a QB, not a DT, these corners this draft suck so scratch a CB off the list at 25. Plus the fact that Thomas Davis really REALLY likes Shaq Thompson (and his opinion does matter.)..

It's pretty obvious, Shaq T will be a Panther. I'm so sure I almost guarantee it infact.

Make a promise then.

If he isn't how about I take your thread starting ability away?

I have no idea how anyone who listened to that presser can have any real indication on which way Gettleman will go at #25.

The only things I really took from that presser were that we aren't taking any undersized pass rushers and if a guy has any hint of domestic violence issues, he's not even on our draft board.

I understand the sentiment, but please don't. haha. Shaq Thompson would be a great addition to this team. I'd be willing to put up with PU threads just to have Shaq Thompson.

besides... don't you already have plenty of reason to remove his thread starting ability? lol
