KB not a true #1 WR

He was a rookie last year, with bo other WR to take the pressure off him. He's a #1

Thanks for the confirmation. With all the negative comments from some of our fan base I was beginning to wonder if I was missing something. Benjamin sure looked like a true #1 to me.

I think unless the dude caught 100% of his passes, set a NFL touchdown record and the triple crown, ROY and League MVP his first season, then half the cheeseballs would complain,..

Actually they will still ask if he could play Left Tackle too,..... NO?

Id rather him be our #2, but that might crpwd the playing field as it could possibly put him nearer to Olsen in their routes.

I would go banannas with happiness if we could draft another WR with KB's talent and raw skills. it would render opposing defenses, well...defenseless.

Im ok with him being our #1, but if OBJ was on our squad, KB would be #2.

The defense would not have the luxury of rolling extra DBs to one side or doubling WR1 at will if there was a potent #2 that could and would make them pay for it.

No one is rolling coverage off Calvin Johnson because of Golden Tate. They are making Tate beat them which is what he did. One of the most common strategies for coverage in general is to single cover the WR2 with your best CB then double the WR1 with your CB2 and S.

Now if you have two WR1's that will change things but an above average to good WR2 ain't changing anything.

And we have a top 5 TE on our team.

WR is such an overrated position, but fans with little football intelligence see highlights on ESPN and think that's what wins games.

A great QB and a top 5 defense that gets takeaways wins games.

These posts about KB always remind me of the people who whined about John Kasay for years after Super Bowl 38

It's time to let it go.

Thats a tall order when Rivera himself basically blamed KB for several of our losses last season.

Had Rivera not made thise statements, no one would be talking about finding a true #1 to bypass KB as our #1.

Rivera and the fans, for the most part, were pretty tough on the rookie...a close second to the hate pored out for Bell. and that hate was definitely misplaced, KB had a stellar season that qasnt far from being one of the best rookie WR showings of all time.
