KB not a true #1 WR

I've seen several Huddle posters make this statement. I can't begin to fathom the rationale for those who hold this view? What more could people expect from a WRs first season? His 1st year stats were amazing considering that he didnt have the luxury of a competent #2 to take away the tight coverage schemes he faced. He just needs to clean up the drops.

I don't want to disagree with you because I do believe he is a #1 WR, but #1 WR's do not get coverage scheme taken away from them because of a WR2. They get that coverage no matter what.

The defense would not have the luxury of rolling extra DBs to one side or doubling WR1 at will if there was a potent #2 that could and would make them pay for it.

He was a rookie last year, with bo other WR to take the pressure off him. He's a #1

Because he had the 2nd highest drops in the NFL last year? 

 

I know he still had over a 1000 yard season but I just think of what he could have had.   He will make the highlight reel catch and then drop an easy pass right in his hands.
