Different takes on the resignations

One of my initial thoughts on this was to wonder whether Marty Hurney might get the team president role with salary cap guy Rob Rogers moving into the GM title. None of the beat writers have that take at present, though Gantt has advanced the notion that ticket manager Phil Youtsey might take over the business end of the team.

Rob Rogers would seem like the natural progression but I can't but think about the budding relationship we've seen over the last year between Jerry Richardson and Mike Rucker. Rucker does have experience in running organizations, allbeit non-profits, and as a former player could be a great talent evaluator. Former players becoming GMs have had mixed results but could be a good fit. I'm probably grasping at straws here though.

true, but from a PR point of view its bad timing.

unless you take the view that any news is good marketing for selling tickets? creating buzzz...etc

unless your like those "other fans", who realize everything is setup for the season and there isnt any better time other than now....

however, Im not so sure this had anything to do with "time", but more natural progression with whatever was transpiring.
