The majority of players use weed and nobody in the NFL cares... except if they get busted or test positive for it. It's like the NFL just has to have the appearance of caring.

That's not just players and the NFL, that's people and society. No one really gives a fug.

I wish they knew for sure what long term use did ... I mean, ive read it could cause cancer, and Ive also read cancer from smoking reefer would be near impossible due to THC and THC has something in it that does something to cancer cells from even evolving or some poo or it offsets the carcinogens

Hell, why smoke it when you can eat it?  That way the smoking aspect becomes a non-issue.

I don't use it but I'd eat it if I did.

And yes, it has been linked to negative (and positive) neurological/cognitive effects. That's a fact.

It's a chemical altering drug people, like Advil, there are side effects, some even negative highly dependent on the individual, again like all other drugs.

The argument for it is are these effects really dangerous to everyone? Or as dangerous compared to what's already legal? How dangerous are they in the grand scheme of things? Those are the arguments, saying it isn't liked to anything or has no adverse effects isn't really an argument for anyone but dumbasses. More testing needs to be done regardless.

They drug test you at the combine. They drug test you once a year as a pro. How fuging hard is it to lay off the bud one month out of the year?

And this is from a former casual smoker.

You'd think it was sn@tch or something.  These guys may as well roll their pot up in Benjamins because that's what they are smoking away.

Alcohol is harmful. Tobacco (specifically all the chemicals associated with it) is harmful. Prescription medicines are harmful.

Marijuana is also harmful. Granted, it's a lot less harmful than the drugs listed above but it's still harmful. It should still be decriminalized and eventually legalized, though.

I just get sick of the people who think it's some magical miracle plant. Oh it cures back pain, depression, migraines, cancer, etc, etc, etc and has no negative effects whatsoever. Bullshít. Give it a rest. You just wanna get high.

You are inhaling smoke into your lungs. That is harmful. And even if you don't smoke, it still has neurological and cognitive effects on your body.

Are you gonna OD on marijuana? Obviously not. Will it cause health problems if you are a chronic smoker for years? Yes.

It's no different than drinking soda. Sure, it's harmless to drink a soda. But drink 2-3 of them a day for 20 years and see what happens.
