The majority of players use weed and nobody in the NFL cares... except if they get busted or test positive for it. It's like the NFL just has to have the appearance of caring, so hey guys make sure you avoid the police and can trick a drug test, then it's all good. It's so stupid.

the only thing weed has enhanced over years has been my music listening habits. Getting busted for weed in the pros is just PR.

As most have you have pointed out, it's not the crime itself that's showing his stupidity, it's the timing and lack of self control.

I smoke weed. Bunches of it. So I'm going to avoid the posters on here bashing it. I'm going to keep my opinions to myself when it comes to criminalization and public perception from the "war on drugs."

Let's stay on topic here. This guy is not disciplined and can't show restraint during the most important time of his life.

I wouldn't use a first round pick on anyone who shows such a lack of awareness. I'd take him in the 2nd though.

That's also why I've kind of grown tired of the little E:60-style pieces you see (like on ESPN), where they tell some dramatic story and try to make it all inspirational so as though you should pull for a particular player... ESPN ran one on him the about two weeks ago - dad divorced his mom, his mom has to work multiple jobs, he hung out with the wrong crowd, struggled with the lack of acknowledgement and acceptance from his dad, football became his outlet, turned his life around... Blah blah blah... The whole time I watched it, I kept thinking, this dude seems like a huge, fake douche. Not correlating that with weed, he just seemed like he is a dick when he's not putting on for cameras... Him being a dumbass would definitely fall in line with that assumption...
