David Newton has hunch, WR (or RB) in the first (a "WR in the 1st" feel good thread)

If the question is whether we draft a wide receiver and a running back I think the answer is clearly yes we will. If the question is whether we will pick one in the first, then the answer is it depends. With potentially only 15 or 16 true first rounders, they could be largely gone by our pick. I don't know that we will have a first round grade on guys like Dorsett or Smith. It depends on whether we are looking for a big physical player like Benjamin or a speed demon. I want a guy like Perriman who has size speed and athleticism.

I wonder why no one was pick g Smith before this week?

If there's a legit LT prospect on the board at #25, we have to take him.  Otherwise, I wouldn't be mad about either Sammie Coates or Devin Smith.  We also desperately need speed at WR.  One way or the other, I really want one of either Coates or Smith.

I soured on Coates after watching more of his games.  That post was less than a month and a half after he looked like Randy Moss vs. Auburn catching 5 passes for 206 yards and 2 TDs.

I warmed up to picking Dorsett, but he wouldn't be right for the number 2 spot, which is my opinion. I would still draft him becaise he would kill in the slot position. It would be no competition with his speed and quickness,  but would make sure I draft another WR for the number 2 position, one problem is who? and what to do with Philly Brown then. Could slow down other WR growth. Could Hill be the number 2?

I agree..... I would look to either Chris Conley or Kenny Bell in the 4th or 5th round. Both have Good size and speed. They can project to eventually be a #1 or #2 receiver.
