You sign Brandon Browner and CJ Spiller and think you just improved? How fuging stupid could you possibly be? Only the people of New Orleans would think that losing 25% of your roster and having to replace them with UDFA's and rookies would be an improvement. That is the voice of realism if I have ever heard it--it applies to us as well. 

 

That thread, to me, shows me just how good Gettlemen is.  He made this team better at S, OT, and possibly WR, RB (addition by subtraction, for the most part, but I like Todman), and MOST IMPORTANTLY, Special teams.  He extended Olsen and a few key players. 

 

Nobody noticed.

 

They think if this as a 7-8-1 team that didn't get better.  They forget we had 7 rookies starting at one point.  They will only get better (the biggest improvement is usually between rookie and second years).  They forget that Cam played half the season injured.  After another good draft, I assure you, people will notice.

 

I don't only think this team, if healthy, can win the south, I wonder who can beat the Panthers?  That Seattle game-in Seattle--was one bad pass away from being a nail biter.  We are already better than that team.  Yes, the Saints look to beef up the run game.  I get it.  Can they do better than  Lynch?  He didn't look like the best back in the NFL vs. the Panthers.  We will be better vs the run if we can get Benwikere in the nickel and get more production out of our RDE.  Ealy has been working this offseason, so how are the Saints going to beat us again?

 

We will get middle pressure from Star, KK, and Dwan--Brees hates it.  Move him, he struggles.  He was at his best with 2 stud, All - pro Guards keeping his vision clear. 

 

New Orleans?  Please.  I am more worried about Tampa.

Yeah I thought most of the fans were pretty realistic.  EXCEPT

I just think the Panthers are still too streaky. They're all over the place. Newton is so far from elite it's not even funny and I think he will implode by game 6. The only reason we had trouble with them the last two years was because our defense was horrible and the tinkering with our O-Line finally started to show some cracks. We get our O-Line straightened up, get a player or two on the D-Line and get some real LB's, now with the DB's we've got it's gonna be a whole new ball game if we can get them to gel.

 

Best part is the last two sentences.   In brief if we can just replace our offense and defense we'll be good.
