After reading article after article, listening to "expert" after "expert", I've come to the conclusion that Panther fans (some) are the real pulse of what the team needs. Case in point, Oher and Martin was picked up meaning that LT can be placed lower on the list of needs, yet all say LT is still the #1need. Don't get me wrong these two are not "end all be all" but they give the team an option to wait until later to get a "grooming LT". We as fans see this and most have appreciated the direction DG is taking the team, it's not a finish product but we can see a positive direction. The team has 9 draft picks, can we as fans truly say there is 9 open slots on team (starting or backup)? If so, which 9 players would you cut? Thoughts....

I think you pick up the best left tackle available now and grow him up. We have the coaching and we've picked up some experience. RT may or may not be settled, but LT is the more important at the moment. If we can grab a stalwart LT now, we'd really have three potential RTs for now. Oher's on the downslope of his career possibly, Martin is hopefully still working toward his potential, and Remmers was a real find, but in need of more experience.

I see our needs, in order, as LT, RB, WR, S, but it's no more than an opinion. Stewart needs to be partnered with another back, we need a slashing/speedy receiver and we need a safety/linebacker hybrid type.

Otherwise, we're pretty loaded.

I think we're pretty much bringing in as much competition at our weaknesses as possible. Some fan favorites and good players will be cut.

Unlike years prior when after final cuts were made, we were looking at other teams cuts, trying to field the best 53. This year, other teams will be scooping our cast offs. It's a good feeling

I've said it before...every team in the NCAA has a starting Lt...you cant tell me that we cant finf a couple Ts out there in the later rounds. I want a bonafude starter, regardless of the position in at least our first few picks.

We are still looking for a few core players and we have seen how we can add Starting players at low cost in FA.

I really like Fozzy. Im confident in him as our #2 for the time being...now if Gurley is available at our pick, I'll get over Fozzy as a good enough #2 and with Stews injury history...Take Gurley and dont look back.

We have to find someone better than Cotch as our #2...theres no denying that an I know we can find a #2 maybe even into the 3rd round, so that can kinda be put on the backburner.

im interested in Shaq and some of the DTs and DEs that will be available in the first 2 rounds. So i wouldnt be surprised to see us go defense with our first two picks. Defense wims Champs and yeah, I know we need to build more around Cam, but no rookie WR is gonna turn us into super bowl favs

its true though...how many first or second round OL picks acrually stick? maybe one or two for half the teams in the league.

im all about cohesion

Every ncaa team also has two starting wr. That doesn't mean they all graduate or have nfl ability. Your argument is beyond dumb.

    • I have watched every Hornets game this season, minus the first game against the Heat.  I'm extremely frustrated with the injury situation even though I know it's not the players fault.  It just every season the same damn thing.  No matter who we draft, sign, or trade for, it's like we're cursed.  Melo and Brandon cannot win games by themselves, and it's honestly impressive how close they've come to doing that recently in several close, winnable games.  Mark Williams needs to get his ass back on the court soon or the ownership needs to start thinking long-term Plan B at Center, because without help inside, our dynamic backcourt will continue to see constant double teams.  And I love Moussa but he's not NBA starting center material.  Offensive hands on the level of Biyombo.
