Possible Trade Scenario

Recommended Posts

Nobody is going to give up their draft picks to move up 1 space.

The Cleveland Browns did n 2012 or Trent Richardson

Unfortunately, the Browns, the only team stupid enough to do that, pick before us.

We already have 9 picks and a roster with what i would call good depth so i really have a hard time seeing 9 rookies + the undrafted ones making the roster. I'd rather see us trading up in one of the early rounds and grab a player that we really like.

Pittsburg at 22 seems quite possible to secure one of the top tackles before the Bengals pick and Miami at 14 has proven to be willing to deal picks in past drafts if someone high on Gettlemen's board drops

Personally would like to see Gurley in Carolina, but I think he will be long gone by pick 25. I'm not high on Gordon, and could see a team like Dallas moving up 2 spots to get their guy. I see no circumstance Ozzie moves up, as others have said he's one of the better GMs in the league.

I'd like to see us move up in round 3 or 4 to get one of our guys since we have the leeway to do so with the compensatory picks(so long as we don't touch our future picks, which I fully expect the Gettlemiester wouldn't).

I've thought about this, with us having so many picks (9) I didn't, and don't think you should add more picks because of limited roster space for those kids. Now I know we could always try to get our 7th rounder or so onto the practice squad, and there are the "mysterious" injuries that happen late in camp that allow you to hold on to young talent, but again, some good pieces can get let go due to volume. I still don't think we're gonna draft 9 players, but I think it's actually very possible for us to move back off of the 25th pick. The scenario that I could see is move back a few spots, pick up a 5th or 6th round pick, draft either at the end of round one or top of round 2 then use that same pick you got in the trade to move up from 57 to get a mid 2nd round talent. In this scenario it is very feasible for us to take both Jake fisher and Nelson Agholor, and if we managed that, I think I would be a happy camper.

Let's say Gurley is gone but Melvin Gordon is still available at 25. Baltimore would probably take him. The Cowboys would love to have him and would only need to trade two spots up. I could see Jerry Jones giving up a 4th to move up 2 spots.

If Gurley or Gordon are around they better trade in front of Cards.

I don't think Gman will do that. We need too many pieces and, in my opinion, an OT is a must.

Disagree, we don't need that many pieces. But we probably won't gain a pick worth much value of we are only trading back a few spots. Plus we are already in the back of the first round. I'd trade back for nothing less than a 3rd.

Would love to trade back to around the 40th pick for an extra 3rd, then use that 3rd, our 3rd and maybe our 5th to get another pick in the 2nd, maybe around pick 50.

In this draft, I would much rather have three 2nds, than a 1st, 2nd and 3rd, even if it cost us our 5th.
