Let's talk about Salads

So I am trying to lose weight for the summer.

For the last two weeks I have been hitting various places for lunch trying to find a good goto spot for a quick, delicious, affordable salad.

Here are some places I have been:

Whole Foods > quick, very good, expensive

McDonalds > quick, ok, not great, very cheap

Chick fila > quick, good, fair price

Anyone have suggestions on where to go?

Around here, Wal-Mart sells some prepackaged salads that are pretty decent and only cost $3.

Are you in Charlotte? If so, Crisp has very good salads for about $10. They're huge and you could easily make two modest meals out of them.

Baby spinach, edamame, cranberries.

Romaine, sliced grilled chicken, southwest veggie mix, Frank's Red Hot.

If you're in Greensboro, hit up the Big Burger Spot. Fantastic, HUGE salads, $6-$8 range. Enough for two or three people.

I have 12 heads of romain in the garden right now. Will last the summer in daily salads. Just pick the leaves around the edges and they keep growing.
