Carolina Rebellion 2015

Lumps

Probably the last you'll see of Korn and Manson. Maybe Slayer too, they're all getting old.

I hate that Bush isn't going to be there :(.

I've seen all of the big bands there. But the ones I have yet to see is Nonpoint, Breaking Benjamin, Papa Roach, Chevelle. The others as well but mainly those.

Seeing the big bands will bring back some memories. Saw Godsmack long before their second CD, Awake, and was awesome. Manson, Korn, and Slayer in the 90s was amazing. Slipknots older CDs are great but I think they've always sucked live.

In any case, they may be older bands and I think maybe that's who they're trying to appeal to but I believe this is the best Carolina Rebellion lineup to date, easily.

Can not fuging wait. Good music on a massive scale, doesn't come to the Bible Belt often like this. Lots of people from all over the country traveling to this two day event.

Anyone else going? Please no bashing, everyone has their taste in music, with over 40 bands there, it's going to be kick ass!

When did they move this from Rockingham to Charlotte?

Going to be honest, I have never attended a Carolina Rebellion show because tickets aren't cheap and the lineup never had more than one or two I wanted to see.

What the hell is in Rockingham?

What the hell is in Rockingham?

1) North Carolina Motor Speedway

2) Richmond Senior High School

...that's about it. Lol

They used to have it every year at the race track and it was a big show even though they had it in such a small town. I didn't know they had moved it to Charlotte. I went a couple years ago when it was headlined by Shinedown.

Last year was awesome. I don't like the lineup this year.

What? You're insane. I'm guessing you're 25 or younger?

Last year:

Kid Rock? Lol rly

Avenge Sevenfoldd steals all their poo from other bands (Metallica), but at least they admit it.

Staind, Fuel, and seether and maybe 311 are the only ones I see I like, rob zombie as well, I've seen them all except Seether though.

I think every year they get a bigger budget, bands seem to get slightly better. I wonder how Alice in Chains are with the new vocalist.

There's some good bands in there. May 2nd looks pretty lame besides Rise Against though. Marlyn Manson hasn't been cool or made good music since like 2000. Korn had a creative resurgence but that brought their number of songs that I like by them to like 5. Hollywood Undead and Papa Roach are pretty much irrelevant now.

May 3 looks awesome though. All those rock goddesses mixed with Godsmack, Slayer, and Slipknot is perfect. In This Moment is probably the worst live band of all time though.

lol... complaining saying Hollywood undead and papa roach are irrelevant when every headliner outside of Rise Against has been irrelevant for almost 20 years

and the Pale Emperor may be one of Manson's best albums to date

this is not my music tho, and these things are shitshows of the worst varieties.  makes sense it's happening in charlotte... it's like the mecca for the monster guzzling redneck bro's that give these events a bad name.  switch out monster for faygo and this would be a gathering of the juggalo's

I hope you guys that are actually going for the music can enjoy it

I agree this is more of a nostalgia type concert and is perfect for me. Pale emperor is a relief from Manson's other crap since 2000. I stay far away from the rednecks and sit back and enjoy the tits and love music.

Name me any concert where there won't be some people in the audience that are stupid?

A band doesn't need to be 'relevant' for me to like them. For some I suppose music is a fad and they change it up every time MTV etc. does but that's not exactly what I listen to music for.

oh, every band has a horrible element to it... but the genre that this is aimed for has turned to crap.  bunch of beer guzzling, women-hassling, tap-out wearing douche bags will be out in full force

this lineup does have nostalgia written all over it, so I see where the appeal will be for a lot of people... I just hope a shitty crowd doesn't ruin a fun few days for the people that actually want to go and enjoy the music

irrelevant in the 'mainstream' or not, good music is good music... I don't even know what 'mainstream' is anymore these days pop-wise, so i'm definitely not bashing for them being 'irrelevant', just pointing out that CCS pointing out Hollywood undead and papa roach made no sense

You guys know I'm almost 60 and I've seen a bunch of these bands live over the years, including Sammy Hagar when he was with Montrose insn the 70's and Van Halen not that long ago. Cheap Trick? Saw them back in the 70's as well....

Godsmack may not be relevant, but I've been listening to them for 20+ years, too. Sons of Texas, Tremonti and Testament are sleepers I'd recommend to any hard rock or metal fans.

Fair warning, this is not the Geoff Tate-fronted Queensryche. Although following his split with the band and the subsequent lawsuit allowed him and his new band as well as the band to both tour using "Queensryche" I do not like the new vocalist. Tate's new project is "Operation Mindcrime."

And who doesn't like a female-fronted hard rock or metal band? Especially if it's a good looking woman?
