That 4 game stretch....

We'll lose to the Jags & Bucs to start 2-2, everyone will freak the fug out & cover the forum in CAM SUCKS SHULA SUCKS FIRE RIVERA FIRE GETTLEMAN threads.

Then we'll win all 4 of those games & everyone will crown us SB champions.

Then we'll lose the next game & everyone will bring out the pitchforks again.

You've been here a while I see.

We'll also be facing a much different Eagles team.  Hell, they don't even know who their QB is, they've got like 17 of them.  I think 2-2 out of this stretch with loses to Seattle and GB is realistic, although I'm hoping for better.

This I could go with.  That said, if our defense shows what it did at the end last year.   We could be tough to score on.  I think we'll score some points.   I believe the offense will be solid and well score enough to beat all these teams.

Obviously we will have a better gauge as we start the OTA, Mini-camps, training camp and Pre-season.

@ Seahawks

vs. Eagles

vs. Colts

vs. Packers

On paper that looks like a brutal stretch, but let's look at who these teams play the week before they play the Panthers....

@Seahawks - Seahawks play on the road against the Bengals. These two teams have not played each other since 2011 before Russell Wilson came to town. Bengals won in 2011 34-12. Panthers haven't beat the Seahawks since 2007, and historically the Seahawks have straight up owned the Panthers. The Panthers have a lot of loses to avenge.

vs. Eagles - Eagles play at home vs. the Giants on Monday night, then come to Carolina on a short week to play a Sunday night game against the Panthers. Those two teams tend to beat up on each other so Carolina could be catching a wounded Eagles team on the road. Another revenge game after the trashing laid down at the hands of Mark Sanchez on Monday night.

vs. Colts - The Colts always have a cupcake schedule playing in the AFC South. They have a home game against the Saints a week before they come to Carolina on Monday night. The only playoff team from 2014 they play before coming to Carolina is the Patriots two weeks before, and they get them at home. The Colts should be fresh and have an inflated win total before this game,

vs. Packers - Panthers catch a break and catch the Packers on consecutive road trips. The Packers are @ Denver the week before heading to Carolina. Another revenge game opportunity against a team that thrashed the Panthers last year.

All in all I don't think this stretch is as difficult as the brutal stretch the Panthers had in 2014 which nearly sunk the team if it weren't for the awful play of their division counterparts.

We have the defense to keep the game close , just need investment in the offense to go over the hump.

If Bradford is healthy the Eagles are going to light us up.

Bradford is more cross-eyed than KK Short and 1/3 the talent and intelligence.  He is a pipe-dream personified.  Add in the fact he is more fragile than a Waterford Crystal and I have to call BS.

Bradford will never have a win moving forward against our franchise as a staring QB.

Last time we played Bradford he played pretty good. His team on the other hand played terrible

I believe we go 4-0, we make the investment on the offense to take us over the top. Defense will keep opponents to low score and the run game with Cam Newton will lead us to Victory!

    • No one is asking him to be Tom Brady. They're just asking him to be as good if not better than Cooper Rush, Jimmy Garoppolo and Carson Wentz. We'd like Young to be better than Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield, but we're not even asking for that. No matter how you cut it he's going to be considered a bust for what was given up for him. He should be outpacing Cam Newton, Jake Delhomme and Kerry Collins game for game in their careers. He should at least be challenging the clutch level of Brady, Mahomes, Stafford, Goff, Garoppolo, Burrow, Hurts and Purdy. Remember that's based on the draft capital given up for Young, and not the extremely low bar Young has actually set for himself.
    • Even if you cherry pick Bryce post benching and ignore everything else and project it out over a full season….. there is no statistical  argument Kyler has ever been worse.   I’m no Murray fan as I agree he is more athlete than QB.   And I’m open to Bryce improving and support us continuing to develop him as this point.
    • We need LBs--build the roster from the bottom up.  On offense, we have Coker who has been huge...if you fill your weaknesse without having to use free agent $$$ or draft picks--win win.
