This Devin Funchess guy...(WR Michigan)

Yes he is. As are you. We already have Funchess on the roster. His name is Ed Dickson. It would be a moronic pick. Also I am not a 40 queen. Someone said he ran a 4.4 I just corrected him.

Then you would be wrong. He ran. 4.7 at the combine and a 4.47 at his pro day.

I don't see Funchess as a WR. I've seen people try to compare Kelvin Benjamin with him, but Funchess doesn't get the separation, have the quality of hands or have elusive speed like Benjamin. Funchess to me is a late 2nd early 3rd round TE.

You must mean someone besides Benjamin. Funchess ran faster and had a better shutle and 3 cone. Benjamin with quality hands? Really????????

I take the combine 40 more serious than pro days. I'm sure you can understand why, or maybe you can't. I can only do so much to help people.

I don't take 40 times all that serious and question people who do unless it is a track meet. Still he ran a 4.47 time. You can't just take the info that match your opinion and forget the others. Then again that is what most folks do here so join right in.....

Tell me something good sir. Do you know the difference between a hand time and an electronic time? Follow up. If you do take a guess at which one is more accurate. Like I said earlier I don't care that much about 40 times but I felt it was important you understand the difference.

I'm telling you not to be shocked if the Panthers grab him in the second round.

Benjamin, Funchess, Olsen...

That's a whole lot of red zone threat.

If Dorsett and Funchess are both on the board at the second round pick, who do you choose?

Not only do I know the difference between hand times and electronic times but a I know the difference between FAT times which are fully automatic times also called electronic start- electronic finish times, Hand start and electronic finishes as well as hand start- hand finishes. Did you know that combine times are not FAT times but rather hand start and electronic finishes which ares still prone to error similar to pro day times. Further that while total hand held times are typically 3 tenths of a second faster than FAT times, the combine times typically are 2 tenths of a second faster than FAT times. So combine times are typically 1 tenth of a second slower than total hand times at most pro days Of course it depends on who is doing the timing.

So while he may have run a faster time at his pro day due to the timing , it likely wasn't that big a difference. Factors like the surface could have made as much a difference. For example the combine turf surface is faster than a grass surface but not as fast as an indoor track surface.

Or maybe we just need to look at 40 times as nice to gather but not that important due to too much variability.

would who we picked in he first make a difference in your scenario? I mean if we got J.strong , Perriman ,or etc would both of these being available be the only choice ?

I'm actually disappointed in that answer for some reason.

maybe but not surprised.i think the Russel Wilson thread and the protection vs better weapons thread clearly suggest a different path to a Championship than we seem to be taking, but this is Gman and no one really knows what he would do until he does it.
