This Devin Funchess guy...(WR Michigan)

Smoother and more athletic after the catch than KB. However KB uses his strength a lot better than DF. DF is more of a finesse WR, hopefully they can toughen him up, then he'd be really dangerous

The thing is when he did use his strength to its full potential, he was awesome.  I think this is very good for Cam.

I'm rooting for a late rounder OT that is Oher insurance, maybe a speedy guy late like Bell, but other than that this is totally a-ok for me.

Cam+KB+Funchess+Olsen should be pretty damn nice.

Cam is not very accurate on his deep passes. I'm not going to get into it with a bunch of people here that can't accept something they've seen with their own eyes for years, but it's true.

He was pretty good on the deep balls his rookie year with Chud running the offense.

I'm guessing the Panthers love Philly and figure they don't need a speed guy. I wish we would draft someone with the ability to make someone miss in the open field, because that's not Philly, DF or KB.

I'm thinking we go late round CB or DL now, would like another WR but I realize how slim the chances of that are.

But you're right, when I saw Funchess use his strength or body he used it well, I just didn't see him use it consistently and that's what worries me.

I agree. Saw the same thing but Michigan had such a god awful QB and he had no decent extra support to catch the ball IMO.  I'm excited.

Erasing the PRs...as a WR, Philly looked like a potential legit contributor for us.  Not saying he's a 1k guy but I could see him in a Az-Zahir Hakim role.

I really like Dezmin Lewis and Kenny Bell still.  Adding one of those would be an added bonus later

I'm telling you not to be shocked if the Panthers grab him in the second round.

Benjamin, Funchess, Olsen...

That's a whole lot of red zone threat.

Yeah sure, the only thing we need to do is enter the red zone first lol

Only problem is Cam doesn't hit guys in stride very consistently, so I don't know what a speed guy is going to do other than be a decoy half the time.

I agree, plus this will help our run game.

Ginn will suffice, not sure if there's a speed guy on the board that's better.

Takes pressure off of KB too.  Can't roll the pressure on him as easily with a guy like Funchess looking to do the same thing KB does on the other side.
