Same thing basically happened to some asshole in my neighborhood who decided to build a split rail fence without getting board approval first. Board denied it, and it turned into a big thing. Petty bullshit.

On one hand I hate government getting involved in ways like this but on the other when you go to places like Hilton Head and see how it looks because of the restrictions placed on businesses like minimal tree removal, etc
