IPA Top 100 List

IPA's are great if you're trying to lose weight. Higher gravity means fewer calories ingested to get buzzed.

I enjoy most types of beer but lately it's hard to justify drinking 2000 calories to get buzzed when I can get the same effect for 400 calories

If you could do me a solid and call my wife and tell her this that would be awesome.

IPA is your preferred beer?

I can't get over the bitterness. More of a wheat beer guy.

There is a brewery by my house called Altamont. They make a beer I think you'd like called Berry White.

From the altamont website:

A SUMMER WHEAT/CREAM ALE BREWED WITH PALE MALT AND WHITE WHEAT; FINISHED WITH NATURAL BLACKBERRIES. THIS BEER FINISHES DRY, WITH A RESIDUAL CREAMINESS FROM THE LACTOSE. MELLOW, CRISP, AND FRUITY FOR THOSE HOT SUMMER DAYS.

I go all the time and fill my growler with this and their Hella Hoppy IPA.

My neighbor and I basically shoot pool and play darts and drink craft beer every weekend because across the street is as far as my wife likes me to go when I'm going to be drinking. :)

Had a 6 pack of this last night. UHMAZING!

They're so many good IPA's, I don't know where to start (including Throegs own Nugget Nectar, along with Ballast Point Sculpin, Victory Dirt Wolf Double IPA, Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA, DogFish Head 90 min Imperial IPA, Flying Dog Raging Bitch Belgian IPA, Evil Twin Molotov Cocktail, etc).

Problem with the list above, they limit choices to 8% alcohol and "American Style IPA (whatever the hell that means, since they originated in/from England for the trip to India)"? LOL

Bell's Two Hearted is probably my favorite beer. Love me some Sierra Nevadas too.

Funny. I tried Bells Two Hearted after looking forward to it greatly. And unless it was too old (only 2+ months from production, but hey they say IPA's can be time/Hop sensitive), it didn't do anything for me.

Interesting. I've never had a bad one. I had some cask-aged two hearted not long ago. delish.
