Leaked Batman v Superman Trailer

The review embargo lifts tonight at 6pm.

I'm guessing it'll hit around 70% on Rotten Tomatoes, which would be a success imo.  I've heard the reviews will probably be a mixed bag, with some praising the action and effects while others faulting the film for having narrative issues and off-base takes on Batman and Superman characters.

No matter what I'm definitely trying to see this Thursday night.

45% now.

I've been officially spoiled. If anybody wants the spoilers just DM me. I can see why the film score will likely end up around the 50s and 60s now. Snyder took a lot of risks and I'm not sure they're gonna pay off. Watchmen, despite it being very cool and unique for a CBM, was a BO disappointment. WB took a gamble on it and man did they go all in.

So far the big cons with the general audience is that it's too long, overstuffed, and doesn't feature enough action. With comics fans, it's a disgrace how Batman was basically made into a villain and how Superman played second fiddle to Batman. Of course, the big spoiler was the back breaker that has some purists livid about both characters.

Spoil me, please. I'm going to see them before I make it to the theater anyway.

That's what I keep hearing as well. I had a feeling that pacing and theme would be an issue with the movie. Even from the trailers, it went from this dark gritty tone to light-hearted jokes in an instant (the one trailer where they introduce Wonder Woman).

Now that you mentioned that Snyder messed up characters now too has me worried. We'll see tomorrow.

He didn't say he messed up the characters unless you are a purist and have no room for change.

Critics are panning this movie, but there is DEFINITELY a hive mind with critics and the internet- I'm going in with an open mind and not going to worry about what others have said. I actually liked Man of Steel.

However, I will say that some of the reviews have said things like "not enough humor" and I can't help but feel like they are trying to compare this movie to the MCU, which it isn't. We live in a current age of acute cynicism and short memories. Prior to the MCU almost ever single super hero movie was bad, real bad. I just can't see how this can be worse than that.
