All jokes aside. Im really starting to think all the top WRs are gone by 25.

During a NFL season, the term "getting hot at the right time" Is thrown around a lot, a few years back when the Giants made their unexpected SB run with a 9-7 record, you heard it abunch of times, "The Giants just got hot at the right time." Thats exactly how I feel about this WR class.

The hype about these current crop of WRs has been sky rocketing faster these last few weeks, faster than the nasdaq in the late 90s. WRs like Nelson Agolohor and Breshad Perriman, once considered by many as 2nd round picks are now suddenly being projected as top 15, hell some even saying top 12-13 picks of this draft.

There is no denying that after last year's very strong crop of WRs in the 1st round, GMs and coaches wont want to miss out again on the next great WR.

Amari Cooper, Kevin White, Nelson Agolohor, Breshad Perriman, Jaelen Strong, Devante Parker. The closer draft day comes the easier it is to see every single one of these WRs gone in the top 20. The unfortunate thing for us is typically you could say "Oh yah! That means such and such star player will fall to us." But this year I just dont see that "falling star" type of player. Im afraid once all the top flight WRs are gone, Gettleman will hold his nose and turn in his selection and settle for a average player and hope for the best.

I know we joke a lot on here how 64 players will be gone by the time we pick at 25, while that is a funny joke, unfortunatley we may have to accept the reality that all the good WRs will be gone by 25.

after the Russell Wilson thread going OT or even Gurley would be fine with me. we could win without a 1rst rd WR this season but we need to bolster the OL-OT and the secondary for sure , that even brings top DE pick into play.how about a Bud Dupree? Just going through a list of the top prospects give us multiple options if your scenario plays out. In fact I think it would give us more options than what it looks like we have right now.

You obviously don't have a brain well suited for being a GM/draft manager. It is not possible for all 6 of those WR to be gone by the first 24 picks much less the first 20. There are too many talented players out there at other positions that those team could not possibly pass on to take a wr not in the top 4.

Oh and ...... Stop making such asinine threads!

Case in point. This doozy.

Frankly with this draft class.. I would make that trade in a heartbeat, I really would

Remember this on draft day: The most productive WR from the 2015 draft will not come from the 1st round.

That is all you need to know.

The top 64 receivers in receptions from 2014 consisted of 12 receivers who were drafted in the top 20 picks of the draft. The 64th receiver produced 47 receptions.

The top 10 receivers from 2014 consisted of 2 receivers picked in the top 20 picks of the draft.

Of the past 15 drafts, the most productive rookie receiver with at least 47 receptions came from the top 20 picks 4 times. That is a 27% success rate.

The last 10 Super Bowl Champion starting WRs (pick #/name):

1. 232 Julian Edelman

2. 78 Brandon LaFell

3. 60 Golden Tate

4. UDFA Doug Baldwin

5. 54 Anquan Boldin

6. 58 Torrey Smith

7. 29 Hakeem Nicks

8. 95 Mario Manningham

9. 213 Donald Driver

10. 52 Greg Jennings

You know what Super Bowl Championship teams have in common when it comes to drafting players in the 1st round? They take OT, DL, LB, and S. They do not take RB, FB, WR, TE, OG, C, and CB. QB is a 50/50 split among Super Bowl Champions.

The reason why is the offensive side of the ball is system based, and you do not need top end offensive talent to be a power. You need intelligent, technically sound, and consistent blockers on offense. You need top end talent, quickness, speed, and tackling on defense to be a championship caliber team.

So, let's stop trying to use the 1st round pick on a WR when you already have Cam Newton, Jonathan Stewart, Greg Olsen and Kelvin Benjamin consuming 60% of the offense. Grab a receiver in the 2nd or 3rd round to factor in to the scraps left of the offensive touches that Cotchery, Tolbert, Dickson, and Brown are fighting over. You will be just fine and history proves it.

The OT talent is lacking in this draft. So, unless one of the top 3 OTs falls to the Panthers at 25, then go BPA at DL, LB, or S with the 1st round pick. These positions will factor in to more plays over a 1000 play season for the Panthers.

I really don't understand all the hate op gets

Is it a huddle meme now or something?

Perhaps if we weren't in the off season I could see some validity in some of the responses, but really you guys come off really douchy

Thick skin is needed on the huddle...and PU seems to have one.

Aside from the fact that the numerous threads he creates are full of terrible ideas, the OP is one who under his former username made sure to announce he was becoming a saints fan during the losing streak last year.
