Hernandez Gets life in Prison without the possibility of Parole

got it right, meaning it's obvious Hernandez is a killer

He's going to be tried for a double murder as well. Not to mention his friend that he shot in the face and survived.

I always wondered why the state would spend millions upon millions of dollars prosecuting someone that's already in prison for life. Seems like a waste to me.

They may not. I think I remember hearing of cases were they don't simply because it is pointless. But if AH were acquitted in this case, he would have been on trail later this year for the drive by.

Know who else believed that reasonable doubt had been eliminated? Hernandez lawyer who threw the "Hernandez was there when the crime occurred but the other guys did it" Hail Mary in his final remarks to the jury.

I remember seeing that and thinking "What the hell?"

Not to mention that the state has an obligation for the victims and/or family of the victims of each crime to get some closure.

Hernandez going to prison for killing your loved one isn't the same as him going to prison for killing someone else and then your case gets pushed to the poo bin.

Kraft testified that he asked Hernandez about the killing and Hernandez said he wasn't involved and that he was in a club when it occurred.

Problem with that is no details had been released about the when the killing had occurred at that point... LOL

Don't quote me on this but if my high school criminal justice class was accurate, life in prison only means 40 something years. Adding 80 years of life sentencing for a total 120 years just makes me feel better.

Edit: it depends on the state and the time can vary from 20 years to until he dies in prison. Don't know where Massachusetts stands.

He had been questioned by the police prior to the talk with Kraft. More than likely they asked him where he had been the night before suggesting Hernandez would say he was at the club that night. Not indicating he knew when it happened because he was a part of it but because he was told.

Either way he was there so it's really a moot point but the fact the jury lacked any sort of deductive reasoning to come to that possibility is beyond me. Especially to speculate that because he knew the time he must have been the shooter when two other people were in the car.

And yes, one juror said he believed he was the killer based on that.

You are confusing Life in Prison and Life in Prison without the possibility of parole. Two different sentences.

First is eligible for parole...second rots in a cell until they die.

To be fair, there's probably very few things that don't confuse Brandon Spikes.

Went to Crest High School, Cleveland County, Brandon Spikes?  Has an opinion on the Justice System in the United States...or for that matter, any other country, solar system or galaxy?
