Panthers to work out Agholor

He is probably above Perriman on most draft boards. Early to mid second round.

 

Most draft boards I have seen is Perriman being the #3 or #4 WR with Agholor hovering around #5-7.

 

My question for both would be are you talking about team draft boards or media draft boards?

Warming up to Agholor at 25. Could be exactly what this offense needs. Speed, hands, and outside of Cooper, I think he is the best route runner in this draft. Can play the slot and outside. His shiftiness and explosion off the line coupled with his low 4.4 show me he can get behind defenses with ease... did so repeatedly in the Pac-12. All reports are that he is a very hard worker and a great kid. I've watched as much as I could find on him and think he is what the doctor ordered for our offense. Not to mention he is a great punt returner if something was to happen to Ginn. He could always replace at PR Ginn when his time as a Panther is up. If Agholor was a few inches taller he would be a lock for a top 15 or 10 pick despite the crowded group of receivers up there. Really hard to find a weakness in his game. 6' 200lbs. isn't a cause for concern for me. Reminds me of Reggie Wayne with more explosiveness and more big play ability.

Agholor can pretty much do everything, he'd be a great complement to Kelvin. Not at all a reach at 25. The anti-USC logic around here is ridiculous.  Lets just not touch anybody from the school that has had the most players drafted to the NFL!! That'll make everything better...

Important to note that draft projections are less important than how you project a player to perform at the next level. Agholor started the process viewed as a late second round guy, and now has crept up in the end of the first. Usually means draftniks are just now catching up to where he should be selected and teams have had him in that range for a while. Agholor's route running ability will make for a smooth transition to the NFL game. He's a day 1 starter unless he happened to go to a team like Green Bay with a stacked group of receivers. Agholor would be pushing Benjamin for years in Carolina. They would be 1A and 1B. No telling who is A and who is B.
