Mayock: 2015 WR class has eight with 1st round grade

You have a point. Unfortunately, it has nothing to do with what I was talking about.

You implied there were only 3 WRs worth a hoot, and Mayock is foolish to think otherwise. As Mayock is not the only one quoting anywhere from 5-8 1st round WRs. I have to think maybe the majority may be right.

So..,after your chosen 3 WRs are taken. Should teams just wait until the 3rd round to start drafting them again? How big is that drop-off in talent? Are there any WRs worth taking at all? I need to know how you see this working out. I want a WR, but if it isn't worth taking. I should probably take WR off my board.

Dat strawman.

Yea but you see the question still remains, how much of that was him saying "I need to straighten up and get my act together for myself"or "I need to straighten up because I'm pushing Draft Stock down the drain"?

2nd or 3rd Round I say go for it but in the 1st I wouldn't feel comfortable. The Kraken was a 6th round pick so he was essentially risk free and it ended up working out for a short period of time but now he's on The Cowboys. Avoiding another potential quandary like that is worth waiting until the later rounds.

It's irrelevant why he did it. What matters most is that he did it. He straighten up for an entire year while not even getting to play on Saturdays. With character concern guys you are most worried about what they are going to do when they aren't playing. Ie the offseason. He just showed everyone even though he wasn't aging he kept his nose clean. Getting him around our guys would do more in the long run for him then anything else.

He's a first round talent that's undeniable. If he didn't have concerns he'd be first or second wr off the board. If we can get him at 25 it's a steal.

You're extrapolating for no reason and missing my point.  I'm not talking where they may or may not get picked, I just see a talent drop and question marks past those three and am pointing it out from my perspective.  I don't expect everyone to agree but you're acting like an ass.

My thing is, from what I've read, noticed, seen, etc. we haven't even given the kid his due diligence.  Which annoys me, too talented to ignore because of his two problems that happened over a year ago.

I am not positive on the amount of diligence we have done with him. I agree, that he has the talent to warrant interest. Lots of kids get in some type of trouble early in college. The vast majority overcome it, and become contributing members of society.

I just have to think that Gman, and Co., have heard something that they didn't like. They must be scared off to basically be ignoring him.

I guess, my wanting a reliable mate for Benji is getting to me. Normally, I shy away from guys like this cuz they can be more trouble than they are worth. But I really like this kid.

If we pick DGB at 25, I will run through my apartment complex naked. My ginger ass will be like another sun running through the night. AKA it isn't happening, even though I wish he would do his due diligence on him.

You never know. I have a hope gettleman is sitting at 25 with DGB still there and can't help himself because he knows DGB is BPA and just pulls the trigger. We will see though.

You made this statement. "I dunno about Mayock this year. After White, Cooper, and Parker I see a distinct drop."

As Mayock said he thought there were as many as 8 1st round WRs. You implied he is wrong, and named 3 WRs you claimed were the only 1st round talent. After all, isn't that a distinct drop-off means?

So...I have been giving you a hard time over this premise. Because there are a lot of people besides Mayock claiming as many as 5-8 1st round WRs.

So who is right? All the folks saying plenty of 1st round WRs talent? Or you? Claiming only 3 1st round WRs? I am just trying to wrap my head around this. Inquiring minds, and all that.

What a poorly executed article that was: "Mayock says there are 8 first-round-graded receivers...here's 6 of them."

That said, if the last two guys are Strong and Smith I can agree with the top 8, though in a different order. Mayock also had Funchess in one of these rankings earlier, so who knows.

Coates and Dorsett have also been referred to as "first round talents" by some as well.

I am not quite sure anyone else sees it. I know there has been some discussion from previous weeks about most scouts/GMs agreeing there are about 15 to 19 true first round grades for this draft.

This is a "poisoned chalice" draft.

There is no real 1st round talent that can anchor a team in this draft, and the talent that is being talked up has some severe issues on the NFL level. Last season there were 10-15 players you could take in the first round and plan to plug them in and use them as an impact players or anchor on day one.

The type of player you can get at OL, QB, RB, WR, TE, DL, LB, S, and CB in the first and second round of this draft you can still get from the 3rd to early 5th round with little to no drop off in future production.

Leonard Williams is the only player in this draft you can remotely refer to as a sure bet.

The QBs alone are buyer beware. Mariotta is the same mold as Kaepernick and Winston is of the mold of Jeff George.

As for WRs, this reminds me of the 2009 draft. A lot of talk about potential in project receivers and receivers that lack toughness which was framed as big time receivers who could step into a #1 role.

He's kept his nose clean for an entire year all while not playing. That says more to me than what he has done before that.

I'd love him at 25. Two number one receivers in back to back drafts. Cam would be in heaven

Or he hasn't got caught in the past year. No way would I draft him.

Also, there is a 0% chance that JR allows this guy to get drafted and I support this.
