Good Article on Frank Alexander

Recommended Posts

Frank will have a break out year. He played well in the AZ game. That's why I was so upset Rivera inactivated him vs Seattle.

This is my concern... There is playing your way into the field and then there is rivera's logic. Had Frank played for Chicago or San Diego years ago, his reinstatement would have meant playing time. But he has a really nice game back and then rivera doesn't play him?? That's the type of Ron Rivera stuff that can hold the young guys back.

Legally? Yes. But, they're still subject to the NFL's drug policy and the NFL's drug policy says that marijuana is a banned substance.

Regardless of all that, if I were a pro athlete, I'd avoid anything that could potentially make my lungs weaker. I smoked a bit in college and Lets just say my mile-time suffered. Seems like a silly gamble.

Yaboi got it twisted. Double-checked Frank's stats and found out he didn't play in the AZ game. Frank only played in the week 17 game vs. Atlanta. He was in for 33 snaps and had 1 tackle. Looking at it now, I'm kind of surprised he even got a jersey for that game. Being suspended for those first 14 games and not being able to be around the team during that suspension meant he had no chemistry with the guys that had played together without him all season long. Not surprised Rivera didn't play him in the playoffs. Frank only had 2 weeks worth of practice since early September.

You sir, are correct. The problem most people had was d-lo being active for the playoff game while big frank sat, which, honestly, I thouget he should play because his fresh legs and pass rush would help us the further we would get in the playoffs. It honestly didn't matter, I don't think we'd beat Seattle with him.

Matchup of last year's WRs vs. Seattle's secondary wasn't good for us. Made sense to have as many RBs available as possible to attack Seattle's weaker run defense. Plus why throw Frank in there when he hadn't had the practice time after almost 4 months away from the team? D-line needs chemistry almost as much as the O-line. You're right, tho, probably wouldn't matter either way.

Meh, football isn't much of an cardio endurance sport anyway.  Plenty of breaks.

Hell, basketball players chief like champs and that definitely IS a cardio heavy sport.

Frank was causing all kinds of hell against the Falcons O-line in the game at the Dome. I just hope that he is able to keep it together for this upcoming Season. In my opinion with a rotation of him, Ealy, and possibly a Rookie DE, that could soften the blow of the Kraken's missing presence.

Funny I heard he played better when on grass.
