Good Article on Frank Alexander

Recommended Posts

I'm a college student double major, and both of my majors are in music (meaning my workload is about 3 times that of the average college student), and if I didn't smoke marijuana every night after I finish my work for the day I would not be able to turn my mind off and sleep. Luckily for me my job is also teaching music and there is no testing done.

I have had continual faith in Big Frank, and I started a thread or two last year with some similar-ish positive sentiment from Alexander.

This time, I hope that he is for real and goes about the business of effectively pursuing and realizing his outstanding professional potential. Otherwise, he is done and I done with him by default.

Really good article. Glad to hear that Frank the Tank is in a good place mentally. Hopefully this will be his breakout year. I could honestly see him getting the start over Ealy.

Here are some of his Oklahoma highlights to refresh people's memory about his potential.

Why can't he use alcohol like the rest of us?

It is ironic that, of the two widely-used coping substances of alcohol and marijuana, neither of which provide players with a competitive advantage, the League has seen fit to ban the one that is more appealing to an NFL player's lifestyle.  I mean if I'm an NFL player and I need to get my mind off personal problems, do I wanna do it by consuming hundreds or thousands of calories, while simultaneously dehydrating myself and ensuring that I won't want to work out tomorrow, or would I wanna light up and deal with none of those particular side effects?

I mean I get that the reason is that marijuana is still illegal in most states.  But still.  It's dumb.  And for many more reasons than the minor one that I just mentioned.

This is something that could have a much larger effect on our DLine than most think.  It would absolutely be awesome if he could come back with a clear head and purpose

Year 4 is historically a breakout year for DE's as well. I'm definitely hopeful but I have set my expectations pretty low.
