The better value at 25......Flowers or Goldman?

Kyle Love is a UT, not a NT. Not to mention  hes not guaranteed to be on the roster. He's yet to stick anywhere.

With New England, Love played NT so Wilfork could be a 3-4 DE then when they moved to a 4-3 Love played primarily as a 1T/NT while Wilfork played 3T/UT.

I don't know the exact plans for him in Carolina but he is quite capable of playing NT/1T and has primarily done so in the past.

Luke could get hurt should we get a 1st round back-up??

Olsen could get hurt should we get him a 1st round back-up as well??

My point being most of your back-ups can't be 1st round talents...

We already have resources in that position. . We don't have a early round pick dedicated to the Secondary or Oline on the roster. .

lol I like how you're reaching here.

Tyler Eifert was on  our big board and was very Likely going to be our pick until Star fell to us. So that blasts that point out of the water.

Secondly the difference between drafting a first round DT and a first round MLB is that, a rotational DT will see the field more than a backup MLB will. Especially one that can rush the passer from the NT spot. i'm not crazy about drafting a DT in the first, but if he's the BPA then he'll definitely help us improve.

Huh. I stand corrected.  My bad.

That being said, he has health issues so.

I like that I'm reaching but you're "if this happened than that would have happened" isn't a reaching argument. .lol

If his diabetes forced him to lose some weight then he very could be a 3T/UT if he is no longer capable of carrying the necessary weight to play 1T/NT so it's a possibility the Panthers view him as a UT going forward.

...Because it's a fact? Eifert was high on our draft board and, he would've been our fir1st round pick. How is it a reach then?

Your argument is that because we have Olsen, we would never draft another 1st round talent which is...false.

It didn't happen so it isn't a fact.. Speculation is never consider a fact in any facet of life.. And all that is speculation...

My argument is we have 2 young highly drafted DT'S on the roster now getting them a backup isn't a 1st thru 3rd round need..

It wiser to get a developmental back-up for them in later rounds. .

We have 1st round talent at QB, and RB. We have 3 3rd round or better on the Oline. TD and Keek are both 1st rounderz. DBs are a question cuz I don't remember where Peanut and Harper were drafted. But all pretty much agree, that at this point in time, our Secondary is no longer a joke.

So... chances are, our 1st rounder is going to have to fight with a high draft pick to win playing time. No matter what position is picked.

Anywho...look on the bright side. The quality of our depth is probably at a Franchise high. And it is only going to get better in a couple of weeks.

You go WR.. He is competing against Cotchery... HAHAHA

You go OT he is going against Oher and Martin...HAHAHA

You Go Safety and Harper can go collect his social security....

It is a little different going against 30+ year olds and competing against guys 25 and under..

I'll give you WR and DB. Those are the only 2 positions where a high round pick wouldn't be going against other high draft picks.

Your reason for passing on Goldman was that he would be behind 2 high draft picks. I just showed you that we have high draft picks all over the field. (Except for WR#2, and DB) So every high draft pick we take is in the same boat.

Even in the Secondary, a high draft pick will have his work cut out for him to win playing time.

This team is close to being as complete a team as we have ever had. Giddy up MFers.

The question was value, in which goldman wins for me. Want wise id take flowers. Whom dave would pick is easy; which one plays DL? Goldman, that the pick then.

Cole can be cut(not saying he will be etc etc.) And the cap hit is only like 50,000. In no way does his place on the team cause the panthers to pass on a talent like goldman.
