Roster reset: NFC South

AFC East is up there in sh*tty divisions.

I agree with this. But the Bills and Jets and Phins have actually been better than the Jags, Titans, Texans over the last 15 years. I mean the Texans had one good year in their history and it was the year the Colts tanked the season to draft Luck.

That's the part that cracks me up about the whole Luck thing. Like he walked into a horrible team and took them to the playoffs.... They had made the playoffs every year for a decade before they "Sucked for Luck" and have made it every year since then.

Its not. That article was on SB Nation. The writer was a Packers writer (Blogger) who I guess decided to write up the NFC South.

First 9 comments were Panthers fans pointing out he had no clue what he was talking about (Mainly because he said Dave had done a crappy job in the draft).... at that point he locked comments.

2 days later he deleted comments and kept them locked... he made no alterations to his article however. *Edit* Apparently he did alter his comment to its too early to know. Instead of out right saying that Dave's drafts have been horrible as he had before. *Finished Edit*

Plus you know he takes the lazy shot at calling the South the NFL's worst division... not last years worst division. Overall I'd say AFC S has been the worst division in football for the last 2 decades but what do I know...

Thanks.

The Panthers won the division for the 2nd year in a row while getting younger and more talented. The Saints are in the process of blowing up their roster, and Brees is starting to take a real beating. Atlanta's defense is horrid, and Ryan gets very little protection. Tampa has a decent D, and IF they figure out the QB position, I see them being the biggest challenger in the division.

What's new? We are always taken for granted. Another year to fly under the radar. I really don't get all these national guys obsession with the Saints and a 50 year old drew brees. Aren't they picked to win the south every year and very often for the super bowl?

Sports writers who don't watch NFC South games go by QB as to who will win the NFCS. The Pecking order is:

1.) Drew Brees

2.) Matt Ryan

3.) Cam Newton

4.) TB QB.

So they predict:

Saints

Falcons

Carolina

TB

If you press them on it, then they will go and look up who the best Saints offensive players, and list their names, and predict they will have a huge season. Same if you question the Falcons over the Panthers. It's the same script every season because they don't watch NFCS games, but they still want to have their say and be an authority on the NFCS.

When we face the Facons, they predict that Julio (or whoever their best WR is at the time) will go off and lead them to an easy win. Same thing with the Saints.

Recently I read an NFCS prediction picking the Saints to win the South. The analyst went and looked up who the Saints best players were on offense, and then listed drew Brees the Saints RBs as the main reason. He's convinced that the Saints RBs will go off this season.

Just be wary of these write ups because they're doing the least amount of research possible, and know next to nothing about small market teams in the south. They know the Giants and Pats down to the water boy and newest cheerleader, but can't name 3 Panther players and do NOT watch our games. None of them. They're watching highlights on ESPN at best.

Tampa for the past couple of years has been the "trendy, outside the box" pick for the NFC South, but it seems that they have learned their lesson about the Bucs. Can't say I'm surprised about the Saints being first, as long as Brees is their QB, they will be chosen to finish first. The Panthers and Falcons are usually chosen to be within a game of each other, no matter what happens to either teams roster. Rather have us be doubted all year and then surprise everyone in the playoffs.
