Cedric Ogbueih question. .

starting a rookie mid season at LT.  What could possibly go wrong?  Oh that's right, just the fact that you would be tossing a rookie on cams blindside that has zero chemistry with the line and coming off an ACL injury. What ever it is that you are smoking, its time to quit.

I will be honest, I know it's a very small sample size but I watched some Youtube vids of him today and im just not impressed, he plays soft and isn't that good in the run game. He's just not a "mauler". The only O lineman I would consider with the 1st would be Jake Fisher, dude is just an all out mauler. His play reminds me of what Kuechly would be like if he was a O lineman, dude is just a straight up football player

Interesting thread to read... can't say I learned much about anything though.  Sounds likes there isn't a general consesus about him here, among scouts, and probably among teams as well.  All I know is I'm worried about which OTs will be there in the first (probably no sure things), and that they'll all be gone by our second.  Because of that I think we either move up in the first, or more likely, in the second to grab an OT.

Consensus?  "You keep using that word.  I do not think it means what you think it means".

Was one of the SEC leaders in sacks allowed in 2014.

Has a lot of leverage and technique issues.  Not a lot of power, and is better at run blocking (stretch-type) than pass blocking.

If I KNEW he would be a 10 year starter?  Obviously.  But there are no such guarantees.  He's not a perfect prospect even discounting the injury.  And given the trend of TAMU LTs looking like can't miss prospects and sucking in the NFL so far, I wouldn't want him in the 1st.  In the 2nd?  Sure, worth a gamble.  Not with our first pick though.

Todd Gurley?
