Cedric Still Going In The First?

If he goes before 25, maybe it will push Peat or Flowers to us. Or Strong for that matter, though I doubt it.

If GMan were to take Ogbuehi, it would obviously be hard knowing it was more of a pick for the future...but it would also be nice knowing we potentially got the best LT prospect at 25, and that Cam will have someone half decent protecting his blindside for once. Of course, if he pans out.

I would very much be opposed to picking Ogbuehi. Not only because of the ACL injury but also because the last two years a TAM LT has been picked in the top 10 and both have sucked so far. If people are afraid of USC receivers because of Dwayne Jarett they should very much be afraid of TAM LT's because of Joeckel and Matthews who have both been Horrid so far.

So you're saying the system at A&M is somehow making these guys look better than they are? I could maybe see that at USC with the WRs (but I don't really buy it) but I'm curious how the system could cover up the flaws of a LT. I mean you're right about Matthews not playing well but everyone says becoming an NFL LT takes time and he was thrown to the wolves as a rookie. Isn't his poor play expected mostly? Not everyone can be Jordan Gross.

I'm a little skeptical at the idea of avoiding the "breeding" of any college football program and a seemingly failing position. As long as they are a major program that plays big time competition, I don't see how any college program can hide the flaws of a LT. Not being snarky, I'd really like to know.

Let me get this straight, two of his former teammates at LT are struggling in the NFL right now.  Both were considered better than him.  He's coming off an ACL injury and will probably take half a season or more before he is 100% right.  Yet he's worth a first rounder?

Matthews played pretty good for a rookie on Atlanta's terrible team. If you're saying we can get a Matthews type player at 25, I'm for it. Ogbuehi was projected, before the acl injury, to be a better prospect than Matthews as well.

His play definitely worth a first round pick. He has the potential to be very good in the league once he cleans up his flaws.

You could say that about a lot of players, and I wouldn't take them with a first round pick.  You should only take players who are as close to sure things as possible.
