Cedric Still Going In The First?

He is in play at 25 that is for sure :)

Yea, I've always thought he was gonna be on our short list if he's there. Other guys I would take over him, but he's a very good player with potential to be a great LT.

Good news. Even if he's not there for us he'll have pushed down another player.

I do like him though, I think the OT class is pretty interesting with about 7 names at about the same level: Collins, Peat, Flowers, Fisher, Humphries, Ogbuehi, Clemmings.

I feel like any one of those guys could be gone at 25, but conversely they could also still be on the board at 57.

I feel that our glaring need on this team is still LT... Anyone feeling Oher or Martin as solutions are kidding themselves internally

I don't think anyone believes they're solutions. We should all agree that they're insurance policies so that we don't have to draft a OT just because we need one.

We've heard from multiple "sources" that there are only 10-15 guys with 1st round grades this year. Does that embolden Gettleman to gamble on a seriously injured player?

Was this guy a top 5 pick before his injury?

And if we make this pick. Isn't this the sort of risk you want your GM to take? We heard Jerry Jones talk about how to win "you have to take risks" in regards to Johnny Manziel. JM was a dumb risk. Is an injured offensive lineman with high character, high football IQ, and great athleticism a better risk? Could we steal our Franchise tackle at pick 25?

Gettleman drated Star when many team shied away from his irregular heart beat. Gettleman went with Benjamin when many questioned his weight and motivation. Gettleman isn't afraid to take his kind of guys. When others see questions marks, Gettleman sees bargains.

With all due respect....Star had is heart issue cleared prior to the draft and it wasn't a knee. Think about Jeff Otah.

I'm not comparing a knee to a heart. I'm comparing Gettleman to other GMs. He wasn't easily scared off by health questions when others were.

Jeff Otah was a different body type with a different personality. If we make the pick I will feel good about it because Gettleman will do his homework on the injury.
