Early reviews for Netflix's "Daredevil"...

it looks good even though I generally don't trust reviews when it comes to anything Marvel the hype is so strong they basically have guaranteed positive reviews.

Not when it comes to "Netflix." The critics are looking for a Netflix misstep, and would waste no time pointing it out.

Clearly, this isn't it.

Same property... Just like a new Fantastic 4 would be met with apprehension...but emotional about them, I am not.

"Same property" = OBVIOUS, AND IRRELEVANT.

What you just said is exactly the same as saying there is no difference between me drawing a picture of Daredevil and Marvel comics drawing one since it's the same character. Marvel is giving us THE DAREDEVIL THEY WANT US TO HAVE, which isn't the same one FOX gave us.

Anyone who bases their opinion about whether they need to see this version based on the 2003 movie -- and I'm not saying you are such a person, but I know that these people do exist -- is the dimmest bulb in the room.

Let’s get right down to it – Daredevil is one of the best things Marvel Studios has ever created. Period. Much like the show’s title character, Daredevil is a disciplined, well-oiled machine that hits at all the right moments, but has patience to pull back and allow characters and story lines to develop organically...

...Everything comes down to realism on the show, which is what truly allows Daredevil to set itself apart from the other corners of the MCU. Matt Murdock gets hurt. A lot. He loses his breath, he takes time to recover. He still kicks ass in ways no regular person ever could, but it’s those moments of vulnerability that make him relatable and really elevate the show.

i'll reserve judgement until I see it myself. People like to say that Marvel can do no wrong but they actually have made some stinkers. I'm excited, it'll have to be damn good to compete with The Flash though.

It won't be anything like The Flash, so "compete with" is the wrong mindset from the start.

The Flash is like 23 episodes released a week at a time, whereas you get all 13 episodes of Daredevil at once. Daredevil will be hardcore R-rated, while the Flash is barely even PG-13.

Don't get me wrong, I love The Flash. It's one of the only shows that I watch LIVE every week, but comparing it to what Daredevil will be is just silly, but that's what people do. They to judge FUTURE things based on PAST things...

...even when they are nothing alike.

By the way, "hype" and "judgment" are two completely different things. There is nothing wrong with being excited about an upcoming show, even if you end up not liking it after you see it.

Is this another thread where you'll demonstrate your shaky hubris? It's already well-documented

that I'm a DC, Marvel, Darkhorse, etc fan. You, on the other hand, are Whedon's personal meat stick.

Chances are I'm more Marvel literate than you, especially with the X-Men, Daredevil, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, The Punisher, and Spider-Man. Nice try though.

lol all this is is another promethean forerunner hipster shtick where he says something stupid and against the grain in a vein effort to look well-learned before retreating once he's been exposed as the nincompoop he is and regurgitating the same crap at the next opportunity "hurr durr guys you need to just accept that Kony Ealy is gonna be our first round pick"

and lol at "marvel literate" whatever that is supposed to mean

I really don't get why fanboys can't enjoy everything. There's things from Marvel that I like and there's things from DC that I like. Everyone has to make everything into a war like they're personally getting something out of it.
