Eight reasons why pre-draft visits are overrated

 

Lots of good stuff, but one I found particularly interesting.

 

5. If your team hasn't spoken with one of your favorite collegiate players, perhaps they've Skyped. According to a different source, a Skype session counts as a phone call and not against one of the top 30 visits. Therefore, a coach could screen in a quarterback and do all the necessary board work over his computer screen.

I've actually met a few girls by skyping first to see if I should even bother. Saved me a bunch of date money and time. It's easy to tell who'll bang after the first date.

I am glad that concept worked for you,however, i seriously doubt that Gettleman is interested in banging any of the potential draftee's.

Actually, I'm reminded of the story about Tom Coughlin trying to use GPS.

Makes me onder how Coughlin would do with Skype.

We have met with both our 1st and 2nd round picks the last two years. While pre draft visits are maybe less relevant for some teams, I do not believe that to be the case for the Panthers.
