Former Bucs GM: We Spied On Justin Blackmon's Favorite Bar For A Week

Lol that the bar in Stillwater is at a fugging Cricket Inn. Did they serve a continental breakfast and a free USA Today with every beer? I wouldn't have drafted him because he went to a Cricket Inn to get hammered. At least go to a Courtyard Marriott for the booze.

dont know if it's been posted but

they are doing the same thing with jameis. they had spies on all his flights. Saw how he treated employees. This is fuging crazy poo.

I don't see it as terribly different than having a full background check for a job out of school. The difference is most entry jobs don't pay like a 1st round draft pick Or have the ability to affect the future of a business.

DGB is a great physical specimen but the knock is he is lazy and undisciplined. Characteristics which are deadly in the NFL. Everyone has talent. The difference are the guys who are talented and have the intangibles as well. There are plenty of those guys available so that we don't have to take a chance on a guy who has issues.

I really think it's gotten to the point of absurdity when we call 20-25 year olds "just kids". The football coaches started this crap to generate sympathy when their players got in trouble. Everyone goes along with it because they have skeletons/guilt from their youth.

20-25 years old is not "just a kid". We've sent teenagers to fight in wars and now we are calling 6-5 250lb adults "kids".

Indeed.

19 year old soldiers making about 20K a year are dodging bullets in Afghanistan, but can't buy a beer when they come back home.

A 21-year old pampered pet that can't keep the ganja out of his mouth or his life and is still in line to be given millions of dollars?  HE'S JUST A KID!

Yeah this is the same attitude people had about Josh Gordon.

Josh Gordon was in the supplemental draft.  People really were clamoring for a supplemental draft pick like that?  Anyway, when DGB does well, I'll be sitting back shaking my head saying I told everyone.  I'm sick of this comparing him to two losers like Gordon (he can't stay sober a damn day) and Blackmon (he can't stay sober a day either).

I didn't compare the players. I compared the fan reaction. Insert Donte Moncreif, Da'Rick Rogers, Kenny Britt, or any of the other guys with off field issues. Fans will not just ignore off field issues but act as if the organization is treating us unfairly by avoiding these guys.

I personally would love to have DGB on the team. I think he's worth the risk. But if we pass I can at least understand it and not have this reaction:

Oh, I understand it perfectly.  I'm just gonna wince and think that gif every time I see a highlight of him torching some defense.  I'm glad we agree on him being worth the risk.  If hes there in the second round (he won't be) and G-Man passes him that gif will come up in my head too, sigh.
