So anyone care to guess why? They were on the practice squad last year and had signed futures contracts to be with the team for OTA's and training camp. They are outside the top 51 so releasing them has zero effect on the salary cap and it's pretty unlikely they would decide to retire from football on the same day like that other guy did.

They get arrested last night?

It is odd to me. Perhaps we are anticipating signing more free agents than first thought? They would have been good camp bodies and we are well below the 90 limit, even including the draft.
