Why is our fanbase so insecure about Cam that we have to seek validation from people in the media? I don't care what this guy thinks about Cam.. He's our quarterback, and he's our franchise

Casserly was the GM of Houston from 2002-2006, the Texans record in those years were a total of: 24-56

 

He also was the GM of the Redskins from 94-99, record there was a combined: 42-53-1

He said Winston is a better prospect coming out of college, which is a fair statement.

Cam is better in every combine event and QB measurable. Also would take his experience as a QB facing SEC defenses versus ACC defenses into account when comparing them as prospects.

This was on last night.  Just FYI he was not talking about them as QB's now.  He was talking about how they were rated coming out of college.  Just so everyone won't get so butthurt, most "experts" had Cam rated in the 20's to the 40's of the 2011 draft as a player. 

 

Because of the system that some guys run in college, I am looking at you Mariota, it is very hard to project how they will do in the NFL.  Because they do nothing in college that they will do in the NFL.  From reads to throws to the spread option and even calling the plays at the line or in the huddle. 

 

Casserly, most of the time, is talking out his ass and has no idea what he is saying but this is not one of those times.  I hate to tell you guys this but most "experts" had pickles rated higher than Cam coming out of college.  Just goes to show you take what they say with a grain of salt.

The experts know a ton about football they just don't spend any time scouting teams, especially the smaller market ones.

He didn't say "as a prospect" or the word prospect at all, but one would assume that's what he's talking about.  Even with that said, I don't think Stafford was near the prospect Cam was and Bradford had serious injury concerns.  But simply looking at their college careers, Bradford was indeed a better prospect as a pocket QB.

 

BUT this is Charlie Casserly we're talking about.  The only analyst worse than him is Charles Davis.
