Jameis Winston and NFL Network

I'm no FSU fan but I think Winston will be very good in the NFL. Don't necessarily think he's going to turn them into a 12 win team but he could easily be the best QB the franchise ever had (not counting Young since he didn't do anything there).

I watched a lot of FSU games last year, and I can say that I WAS NOT impressed with Winston.

 

I will agree that he has a knack for late game heroics.  However, those heroics were needed most of the time because he played like utter dog poo for 75% of those games.

I go to FSU, and almost everyone here knows he's innocent. Innocent until proven guilty, dude. I for one do not want him in the NFC South.

 

I am not saying that Winston is innocent or guilty.

 

But, to say that "everyone at FSU knows he is innocent" is quite comical.  No bias there.

Cam Newton and Jameis WInston got bashed by the overzealous media over some of the same things.

 

 

 

-Coming out both were considered arrogant/too cocky

 

-Coming out both were said to have A LOT of red flags off the field but through further investigation revealed that they were not bad people, just immature.

 

- Some questioned if they could be leaders in the NFL which was funny considering both led their teams to championships and both were well liked by their teammates and people around their respective programs.

 

- Some questioned their work ethic when in reality this should have never been questioned because both are extremely hard workers and are driven to win. Neither likes to lose nor do they want to get accustomed to it.

 

 

 

I remember when just about everyone thought Cam was going to be a bust based off of frivolous notions. I think they will be forced to eat crow in regards to Winston like they did Cam.

 

 

Any links to people questioning Jameis' leadership or work ethic?

 

 

From what I've seen, people understand he has a great work ethic and his teammates love playing for him. It's just the off-field issues with him.

I still don't get the "worry" a select few Panther fans have if he goes to the Bucs.

 

 

 

We are in a division with Brees and we f'n rape him and the Saints' #1 offense.    We wreck the Falcons.    The Bucs getting a decent qb is of no concern to us.   The only thing that would even somewhat worry me is if the Bucs realize that defense is where it's at. ...and they focus all of their draft picks on building up their defense.    

 

F'n eh,  let them try to build a highpowered offense while their defense sits and gathers dust with only two players of note on it (David, McCoy).  That is a dream come true for Panther fans.

You might have watched the game but you didn't see the game. If you saw the game you'd know he was transitioning from losing a 1st round pick WR(Bejamin) to playing with a bunch of pluggins. He threw the ball more, took more risks and carry them to another undefeated season. What you don't see is that FSU of 2014 was inferior to FSU 2013 but things stayed constant with Winston.

 

Winston is that good. He threw 18 INTs last year and still projected as the number one pick. Only because he's Jameis Winston.

The ignorance on this board is astounding. 

 

This is the same national media that LITERALLY MADE UP a week long story leading into our game against Notre Dame accusing Winston of taking money.

 

They LITERALLY went on a website, run by a guy that is under federal investigation for fraud, found a bunch of stuff with Winston's alleged signature on it, and ran with 1000 stories about it.

 

You had ESPN wanting FSU to suspend Winston over it. 

 

No evidence of money changing hands

No person came forward saying they paid Winston

And no real evidence that the signatures was even Winston's

 

Three weeks later, the national media drops the story after they figured out the autographs aren't even HIS! LOL!

 

 

Yet THIS IS THE EXAMPLE THAT THE HUDDLE USES FOR A MEDIA THAT IS FAVORING A COLLEGE QB?

 

Let's not even get into Erica Kinsman BS rape allegaion.

The media needs something to push....A story...A guy to fill time. It's going to be the top QB prospect and they will use any angle available. The angle doesn't matter. It just needs to exist.8 wouldn't over think it since when needed they will use the opposite angle. It's just what they do.

Don't know where you get the impression they're gushing over him. The dude's game is real so they're talking about it.

 

Sorry, but I watched the entire hr on Path to the Draft and they made this kid sound like the second coming of Peyton Manning and that's all well and good but  they totally dismissed his off the field accusations and those accusations

are very serious.
