Jameis Winston and NFL Network

I agree with your points.

I also find it odd that the media trashed Cam (and still does to this day), but seems to have a love fest for Jameis

when he was accused of far more egregious things than Cam.

They seem to have an agenda against Cam and it's pretty pathetic.

I'm not saying Cam is beyond criticism, but some of the things people say about him are really ridiculous.

The latest example, and how flippin petty is this, that article where the kid thinks Cam would be better served as a RB. Anybody else, and that's a non story. The media gets ahold if it though and runs with it.

Zero sense it makes to me

Yeah, it really is petty. I believe that kid just wrote what he heard his dumb dad said.

They only want to report negative things about Cam.

he's going to be a solid QB. he's going to make mistakes. he's more akin to Rowrhlesberger than he is to Jamarcus Russell and he has run a pro offense. He is ready to play from day 1.

saying that, he can't outrun anyone And doesn't exactly have the type of protection, nor the receivers to make him be very successful until their FO can put some pieces in place.

he has a chance to one day be a pro-bowl QB, but he isn't half the athlete that Cam is and his reputation as a do-do will not magically disappear and that will follow him regardless of how well he plays.

Cam is one of the best athletes in the game and these two should never be compared to one another unless it is to show how different they are from one another.

I can't wait to see our front 7 get after him and watch him turn the ball over as often as I think he will trying to make something happen while running ploddingly for his life.

Cam Newton and Jameis WInston got bashed by the overzealous media over some of the same things.

-Coming out both were considered arrogant/too cocky

-Coming out both were said to have A LOT of red flags off the field but through further investigation revealed that they were not bad people, just immature.

- Some questioned if they could be leaders in the NFL which was funny considering both led their teams to championships and both were well liked by their teammates and people around their respective programs.

- Some questioned their work ethic when in reality this should have never been questioned because both are extremely hard workers and are driven to win. Neither likes to lose nor do they want to get accustomed to it.

I remember when just about everyone thought Cam was going to be a bust based off of frivolous notions. I think they will be forced to eat crow in regards to Winston like they did Cam.

As good as he may turn out being, I was actually more concerned about them drafting Marriotta due to his mobility. They have witnessed first hand the damage Cam has done to them. Jameis isn't exactly mobile. I'm surprised there have been no Leftwich comparisons for him.
