Why drafting a RB or defense won't solve our issues.

......"The guy just gushes about pass rushers." I hate to see how he really feels about OTs because he's never, ever drafted one. OT has been a NEED on this team for at least 3 years now. I can't wait until he finally drafts an OT, I'm going to be thrilled. Come on Dave, I don't care which round, just draft at least ONE, man. You can do it, I have faith in you!!

He'll draft one when their value lines up with where we're picking.  Until then, he won't draft one.  Same with any position.  He's not going to reach.

Lol no. Blount was a workhorse back for them playing amazingly, and the main reason they won was their elite secondary. They had a decent passing game but not like it was in 2007 or 2011 for them.

Blount workhorse? Brady carried them through the playoffs

And Blount wasn't even a first round pick so that adds more fiule to my argument.

If you want to take it a step further looks look at some recent SB champs

Pats- passing

Hawks-running

Ravens- passing

Giants - balanced

Packers-  passing

Steelers - balanced

Saints -passing

Teams who are passive tend to have more success.

Short can fill in at DE in certain situations, but there's no way he's playing as an every down DE in a 4-3.  That's insane.

You just want to reach, reach, reach based on perceived need.  "Winning" the draft and free agency oftentimes doesn't translate to winning on the field.  Media "experts" aren't actual experts or they'd be working in NFL front offices.

So drafting a receiver is reach, but drafting an injury prone RB in the first round isn't?

i'll be looking for OP in the draft thread when gettleman selects gurley or a DE

judging by your user name and most of your post Gettleman can select a punter in the first round trade Cam for a 6th round pick and you would give him a standing ovation

He would never do that because he's not an idiot. The only sure thing is that you will hate whatever happens which if recent history is any indication is a positive sign.

Also you don't understand my user name
