I think we waived-injured him but since no one claimed him he had stay under contract with us and go on the IR due to rules about releasing someone who is injured.

 

Same thing we did with Gaffney but someone claimed him when we wanted him to go unclaimed and be on the IR.

I go with whatever Mr. SCOT says... Right now I have no idea about the OT position. . The only thing I'm certain about is Norwell, Kail, and Turner in the middle. ..

My take isn't really earthshatteringly different from many others.

What you see in my sig, left to right, is pretty much how I see the starters right now. A high draft pick might conceivably take over the right tackle spot, but I'm not ready to bet on that just yet (ask me after the draft).

Barring injury, I doubt anyone sees much chance of the interior three spots changing.

One possible wild card: If (very big 'if') the coaches can get Jonathan Martin back to the form that made him a second round pick, it could make the tackle competition interesting.

Again though, remember that Dave Gettleman's formula for O-Line building is to get five guys in place and let them grow together long term. My big question would be how many of the five guys you see in place now would, in your mind, fit that formula?

I think what excites me most about our oline is the depth. Its almost a certainty that an olineman will go down at some point. Our 2nd string tackles, this year, are probably going to be better than last years starters.

In my opinion, Oher is a better lineman than Martin, and he's playing with his old line coach. He'll win the starting job there. The rest of the line will be the same as it was last year - and that's not a bad line.

I think Martin is a vagina dont get me wrong, but he has incredible physical skills and i think good coaching will have him playing like the player everyone thought he could be out of college

I am positive we will draft a OT. For this I am just going to use Peat

I also am sure we will either draft a gaurd/center combo type or sign one as an udfa
