Panthers Win Super Bowl IF?

We're not as good as Seattle. They're prime for a dynasty, we're not. If we change a handful of things, then we can start thinking about prime time.

Of course we aren't as good as they are, but that's more a reflection of personnel and in-game coaching than overall team philosophy.

If Oher can hold is own and the o-line stays healthy.

If bring in a guy like Greg Jennings or draft another effective WR.

If Stewart stays healthy and Cam elevates his game just a notch.

The defense will be ready. I do think we can count on them.

If Shula changes his game planning, trusts in Cam to change up plays on the field, and puts the load of work on Benjamin, Olsen, Stewart, and Tolbert instead of using them as decoys in the first half of the game.

If Rivera stops blaming opportunities missed by the players while placing it on the coaches and stops relying on rookies and undrafted players to make game changing plays.

If the Panthers find a key #2 receiver that can open up the field.

If the Panthers start the season with 2 strong pass rushing DEs that will rack up 10+ sacks each on the season and a SS who is not slow and old.

If Rivera can finally prove he can out coach the best in the league. (This is the most important IF.)

... then the Panthers will win the Super Bowl.

1. Front 4 on defense can get consistent pressure without blitzing.

2. Offensive line improves in pass protection, which should help with #3.

3. Cam continues to improve as a passer. Better accuracy and touch. Also finding receivers quicker which will help with #2.

This doesnt even make sense, so you mean if we win a super bowl this year it would only be because of pure luck and injuries to other teams? Isnt that what every team faces? Its a part of the game and though devastating to a team it doesnt mean it wasnt won on their own merit.

I guess what I am trying to say is that we aren't quite the caliber of team that can write it's own destiny, yet. I think we're on that road but we just haven't gotten all of the pieces set and I think we are still trying to find a team identity.

If we were to get to the Super Bowl this coming year, I just think it would be much more about some of the perennial contenders faltering more than us having arrived.
