If it came down to Peat or Perriman....

I'm not a big Peat fan. He gets fatigued really easily and is inconsistent. I also worry about drafting Stanford OL. Recently they've all been disappointments relative to their projections in the NFL after looking like studs in Stanfords power attack. That said I'd still take Peat over Perriman. He's a boom or bust prospect. I'd prefer a dependable, high floor guy if we go WR in the 1st.

Perriman might be in the 2nd based on the value of the draft and talents at WR.

But he has 1st round potential. Could easily be a 1st rounder. Needs work , but size and speed + ceiling are intriguing. I would put him in the same category as KB last year. A lot of people had KB in the early 2nd.

Perriman could be TO 2.0. Go watch the tape. Very similar.

I'm not saying he won't be good.

I'm saying the risk is big enough for him to drop to the second. When he is there at 25, the Panthers will pass on him.

Perriman. Yes, receiver is deep but I believe there is a significant drop after Perriman.

Just cuz he's fast doesn't mean he'll be good...look at Darrius Heyward-Bey for example.

And I don't believe there is a significant drop after Perriman. Honestly, I'd take Rashad Greene, Tyler Lockette, Nelson Agholor in the second round.

His stock was already rising before his pro day. Everyone knew DHB bc he was fast. People are just now finding out that Perriman is fast.

Exactly, there were a few of us high on Perriman before his pro day (draft forum). Everyone that doesn't pay close attention to the draft is just finding out about him because of his 40. There's a lot more to like about Perriman than just his 40. Love the TO comp.

Trade back into the 2nd round. 2 seconds and 2 thirds is better than a 1,2 and 3 with either of those .

Gotta love instead of answering the question inventing a fantasy.

Which team just agreed to trade their 2nd and 3rd round draft choices to us for our lower 1st, chief?  You know there's gotta be a trade partner (in this case, an insane one) to make a trade like that, right?

Gettleman's draft board may as well be the Book of Life as far as the media and fans are concerned. As old school and closed mouth as he is---which any professional should be, I literally laugh at the thought of anyone outside of those that need to know predicting his priorities.

Unless it's bleacher report.

    • We could easily pick apart yesterday’s game: dropped passes, blown coverages, bad tackling and red zone issues to name a few. But it was clear that this wasn’t the same team from earlier in the season. They fought back and hung with the champs until the end. That’s what I was excited to see and it gives me hope that we’re on the right track.
    • I think BY played well today and exceeded expectations. I will temper future expectations as he has to string together many games of consistent quality. One game doesn’t convince me that he is a franchise QB or even a guy you want to stick with for another season. One game doesn’t erase all the negative play and limitations from the past couple of years. I hope he balls out and continues to get better but for me the verdict is still out   That said, I think he gave the team and fans hope yesterday which is a lot more than what we had when we woke up Sunday morning.
    • He was vastly improved today and we need to see more of Bryce the rest of the season to continue evaluate him in order to decide what the heck to do with him at the end of the season. He must play at least like this and improve more from here the rest of the season in order for me to keep him. No more 123 yard passing games and want to see at least this output weekly from him. If this is Bruce improving slowly over time then Canales is even better with developing QB's than I thought he was but still too early to tell and we need to see him the rest of the way as he has at very least earned back the starting gig moving forward.
