Cam Newton's feelings on the Offseason

LUUUUUKE

Either way, Cam has to like what he sees. The only reason I even consider Cotchery as a lock is his veteran leadership that has been openly praised by both teammates and coaches alike.

All I'm saying here is that Cam has to feel a little better about the acquisitions thus far.

Most of you guys are impossible to please, we need help on O and we're getting it. Now none if these signings have sex appeal, but it's these type of low to mid level signings that can really set us up for a successful season

YEAH!

Cotchery isn't exactly a "lock" at WR at this point.

He was brought in last offseason to be a reliable veteran target. He just about the exact opposite of reliable all too often.

Cotchery has been reliable throughout his career. Which was the reason why he was brough in.

Expectations of him coming here and producing anything close what he did the season prior, was foolish expectations (which included my own).

Cam having off season surgery and not veing able to work with the receivers hurt the offense greatly.

That isn't anybodies fault. It's just the result of unfortunate circumstances.

Cotchery can play better, and it shoulf be expected he will, if he's still on the roster this coming season.

yeah, I don't understand the hate for Cotchery on the huddle. You'd think he was Legadudu Nannee from the way everybody talks around here.

I wish I had a link to back this up, and to be honest I can't remember where I heard this, but a former teammate or former NFL player made a comment about Cam (and players like him in general). Guys like that believe they're the missing piece. They believe that if they play the way they're capable that they can elevate everyone around them. They don't look at it like us fans do and say, "well, we need this guy or have to fill this position to be successful". Guys like Cam believe that they can win with anyone.

So, to answer your question, I don't think Cam is worried about who is or isn't on the roster. I think he's focused on what he can control as he should be.
