I agree they probably don't see weed as being as big of a deal as domestic violence, but I'm also willing to bet that Frank wouldn't be on the team if he was up for a big contract this offseason like Hardy was. We aren't going to invest our big long term money in players that may not be around to earn it.

What is the relevance?

The perception is the same. 2 guys get into a fight. Public is nonplussed.

A huge guy "fights" a woman. Poutraged.

The public perception is key. Calling out the hypocrisy of JR is about as useful as calling out the hypocrisy of the public and the media. I think we may be in violent agreement.

But it's pointless. JR can hire a pot head. No public outlash. JR can't hire a woman beater. Public outlash.

It might be literally that simple.

What if the Girl was Rhonda Rousy would it be a different story??

So as long as you beat the poo out of another dude it's ok no matter how you did it.... cool

I just hope if Gregory who doesn't fit our scheme is a option than DGB who would be a perfect fit is a option also..

Because there is a much lower risk to reward even with a first round rookie contract vs a big boy top flight veteran contract. It's not like they are drafting him blind they'll do their interviews and assessments and make an educated decision on if they feel like he's a lost cause or someone they can help mature. At the end of the day he may not but it's an educated risk and the risk isn't bad if we believe Gregory is a top ten talent and he isn't a lot cause As bad as we want this to be a black/white situation it's not. To answer your question on DGB I have no idea I'm never going to be able sit down with the guy and be able form an opinion on his character, but I'd guess we will end up not touching him.

Yes. I think in general the specifics don't matter to the public. Man v woman outrage.

For the record I'm confident I can take Rhonda Rousey.

Man fights a man (mostly irrelevant of size) then that's just boys being boys.

Doesn't make any of it right. I think it's just an accurate temperature of the population/advertising dollars.

Now as far as DGB...he also has DV in his past. Makes it a different animal than Cheech I mean Gregory.

Gregory is a top 15 talent as a 3-4 outside LBS.. Not a 4-3DE..

Hey she's 135lbs! That is a tiny chick. I am a fit male at 6' 185 with a fighting background my whole life. I'm no world beater. But 50 lbs is a TON of weight. And I'm no noob to her moves.

But anyways, I'm sure whomever they pick at #25 will be a solid performer.
