Why I think Owamagbe Odighizuwa will be the pick and should be the pick.

You're being hyperbolic. And what Steve did is totally uncool. But you can't equate the act with the result. Two men got into a fight. Ok. A DE assaulted a woman allegedly. Clearly you see the obvious difference.

You clearly don't know what happened in either situation. .

Moose has said many times.. That Smitty dam near jumped Bright and Beason said Steve stole Lucas.. Both players didn't see it coming and by the time it got near a fight statue they were hurt and over..

If you followed the case you would know that Holder put up more of a fight than Bright and Lucas did..

I clearly wasn't there for any event. And people's perceptions of what happened might the least reliable evidence.

Regardless the perception of fighting a man and fighting a woman have different connotations in today's world. That's real.

Oddly enough I dont think substance/drug issues seem to bother Gman/Rivera/JR as much seeing as how Frank Alexander failed two consecutive times and basicially missed a season because of it and hes still on the team.

That is more evidence it was only because of the nfl climate and media circus why Hardy is gone, dont think for one second thst if drugs and substance abuse blew up as hot button issue like domestic violence that big Frank wouldnt be bagging groceries right now

I agree they probably don't see weed as being as big of a deal as domestic violence, but I'm also willing to bet that Frank wouldn't be on the team if he was up for a big contract this offseason like Hardy was. We aren't going to invest our big long term money in players that may not be around to earn it.

Over the last few months I have been pounding my proverbial fists on the proverbial table for a WR in the 1st round. While I love the WRs in this draft class and frankly if we go WR I wont be mad at all. However after thinking about it more and more in recent days, I am really getting on the Owamagbe train. He has drawn comparisons to Robert Quinn and Quin is just a straight up monster, he would fill that void that Hardy left and will be CJ's eventual replacement because CJ is not getting younger.

Also consider this; Kony Ealy age 23, Star Lotulelei age 25, Kawann Short age 26 (actually suprised hes already 26) and Owamagbe age 22. So my point? That would be the age of our D line if we draft Owamagbe, in other words, very young. We would have our D line solidified for years to come, atleast the next 6-8 years, we would be set at D line, Owamagbe would be that final piece to the D line puzzle.

Also with the additions of Ginn, Jonathan Martin, Michael Oher, Jarret Boykin among the two other corners we signed Kurt Coleman and the guy from the Bears ( I cant remember his name, not taking a jab at Gettleman i literally cant remember his name) not world beaters by any stretch but as a collective group, might be just enough to make Gettleman feel good about drafting Owamagbe in the 1st round.

I only know of one CB we signed which is Teddy Williams but who is the guy we signed from the bears?

Funny.  Wow says that we don't know what really happened, which proves a conspiracy against Hardy, even though Hardy was convicted and settled out of court.  Since we do not know, we must assume innocence.  But he knows enough to call the victim (as determined by the only time the case was heard in court) a "lying bitch."

What is it that you heard that is cold, hard evidence that she was lying?

He is on my short list (first round)

Owamagbe DE

Collins SS

Flowers OT

Strong WR

Thompson OLB

I feel confident the first round pick is one of those.

The DE makes a lot of sense--he has not addressed it in free agency.  He is going to have to address CJ's deal to re-sign Cam and Luke.  He is a good player at a need position.

Gettlemen is the GM, so he wants depth because that gives him leverage.

Every body in Smitty incidents say Smitty attack the other player before they could defend themselves. .

Smitty attack Anthony Bright in a flim room session with Bright sitting with his back to Smitty. . And Smitty beat his eye out of his head and a long hospital stay..

Did Nicole spend more than a hour at the hospital? ?

Also Nicole was fighting her way back into Hardy's house when she was kicked out..

But to answer the original question I would be perfectly fine with taking a defensive end in the first round if that's Odi or Gregory or whomever DG deems appropriate. It's been pretty apparent that the better the panthers defensive line is the better we are as a team. I feel like that's been the case from our inception.

Or you could follow the F'n case and see the testimony and make your own conclusion. .
