Why I think Owamagbe Odighizuwa will be the pick and should be the pick.

This ain't got poo to do with a lying bitch using the system. .

,

Voth, IGo, and all the other Beat writers have said the decision on Hardy not coming back was made before the alleged incident. .

And it was all about not trusting him making good decisions. .

Guess what this kid is already showing he makes dumb decisions. .

You're missing the entire point of Domestic Abuse is entirely different than Smoking Weed

Guilty or not is not the discussion here. The severity of the case is.

With the climate of the NFL against domestic abuse, there was simply no way Jerry could have Hardy on this squad bro.

If someone gets high and kills a soccer mom and her kids while driving then I promise you Gregory would be gone and so would Frank Alexander, et al.

Monsta again IGo, Voth, Newton, Jones, and Person were all saying the same thing before the incident. .

They rented him.. They weren't going to give him a long-term deal because they couldn't trust him to make goid decisions. .

Do you not understand they were just renting Hardy ..

Is one a day really a lot?! Its not as though you see like 5 or 6 threads all by me flood the first page, judging by how everyone on here makes it sound, you would I think I post every hour or something.

I think it's more presentation than substance. Using absurd hyperbole leads to reactive criticism.

That guy is a dumpster fire vs I think that guy is weak at this.

DG hates Cam bc no weapons/protection vs this helps the team in other ways.

Not you specifically but people react with more hostility with a hyperbolic presentation than a thread meant for discussion.

My two cents. You do you.

And that wasn't Jerry's call. That was Gettleman.

We have bigger priorities besides signing hardy longterm.

Exactly and the reasoning was bad decision making. . Which Gregory has shown even before he gets paid..

Than Jerry opened his Hypocritical mouth and painted himself into a corner about "we do the right things"...

Well drafting a pot head in the 1st round isn't doing the right things..

They would look like hypocrites on 2 fronts..

But if they made the decision to not retain Hardy because they couldn't trust his decision-making prior to him making a really bad decision, then that decision just solidified their already founded concerns.

I don't think it makes them hypocritical to draft Gregory because of that. In fact, I'd say it makes me confident that they are looking at players on individual merit and not just putting "troubled" players in a vacuum and saying nope we don't want those guys with problems.

I would argue that is a positive, not a negative.

Smoking pot as a kid is a kid being a kid. That's it.

Hardy is wild and plays by the beat of his own drum. It's more than just smoking pot.

not everyone who smokes pot is the next Josh Gordon.

In all honesty, that would be how they would have to play it. Certainly equating Dom vio and weed is wrong. Just like equating every guy that is troubled. They'd have to play the nuanced theme by saying things like whole person concept etc.

No it totally goes against their reasoning. . And Jerry who was already a hypocrite for turning a blind eye to Smitty's abuse.. But now you say "we do things the right way" I guess except when it concerns drug use..

Even if we were just renting Hardy there is a difference between committing to pay a guy you know you can't trust top five defensive end money and paying a guy on a rookie contract that you may not be able to trust. Doesn't make JR a hypocrite. They won't draft Gregory if they don't think he'll be able to right himself.

I'm trying to understand your argument. I thought you said their reasoning was they weren't going to retain Hardy pre-DV because they couldn't trust his decision making?

Hardy dropped to the 6th round for the same "kid being a kid excuse" .. Now let's use a 1st round pick on a dumbass who in reality isn't a 4-3 DE anyway..
