Personally, I like the numbering system and I wish college football would adopt it. I get it that there are like 90 players on a college football team so it makes it a little more difficult but those idiots are even allowed to trot out guys wearing the same number! (not on the field at the same time but still)

 

LBs wearing into the 40s I guess makes me think of the S/LB tweeners. I like normal LBs to wear 50s. Oh and get off my lawn.

Reminds me of Luke. And also of a fellow Butkus winner and 1st R pick, Andy "Big Kat" Katzenmoyer. Hell, even the The Boz (another Butkus winner) wore a # in the 40s
