CJ is getting older and more expensive by the year, TD needs a successor and we still need a safety and/or corner.

It's common sense we'll draft three defensive players at the very least.

 

It was also thought to be 'common sense' that we would draft an OT last season and it did not happen. CJ is getting older and TD eventually needs a successor but we also need a tackle or two. We need a receiver or two. A running back. It's not exactly a bold statement on your part to say at least 3 of 9 total picks will be on defense. It's pretty evident when looking at the updated list of who we have met with that we are targeting running backs, tackles, receivers, defensive ends and corners primarily.
